It was early Winter when the twins got on their bus to return back to Gravity Falls.
It was a long, long trip. Just as it was before. It felt longer, either the snow slowed it down, or it just felt longer. Another mystery?

Surprisingly, Dipper fell asleep and Mabel was still awake. Gazing out of the window.
Then, they saw it.
The welcoming sign to Gravity Falls.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere...
"DIPPER!" cried Mabel.
Instantly, Dipper jumped awake, alert.
"W-what is it Mabel?"
To answer Dipper's question, she just pointed towards the window. When Dipper looked out, he saw the one sight he has missed for months.

Gravity Falls.

Except, it looked a little bigger? Maybe the town had new homes and stores built? Who knows? A few more minutes of intense waiting went by, before the bus came to a halt and the driver began to speak "Gravity Falls. Last stop."
In an instant, the twins rushed to get off of the bus as quickly as possible, and outside, in the snow waiting for them, was their Grunkle Stan and Great Uncle Ford.

Both generations of twins welcomed each other with open arms, before getting into Stan's car.
"Hey, uh... kids. When we get to the Shack, we need to talk about something."
The twins, confused, looked at each other with a mixture of concern, worry and confusion.
Then, Dipper spoke up.
"About what Grunkle Stan?"
To which, Stan responded with, "Just about some, uh... changes that have happened since you two last visited. Changes to the Shack and Gravity Falls as a whole."
The rest of the car ride was spent catching up on how Dipper and Mabel were doing at school. Overall, they were doing well. Or as Mabel put it, "Sparktastic!"
Once they finally arrived at the Shack, the twins were in awe as to how pretty Gravity Falls looked coated in snow, everything seemingly shone brightly.
Once inside and unpacked, Stan called the two down to discuss what has changed.
Once they were seated. Stan began.
"Alright. Now, I am sure that the two of you have seen that the town has gotten bigger, right?"
The twins nodded, interested as to what has happened.
"Have you heard of the age old legend about Mount Ebbot and the monsters underneath it, or the place known as the Underground?"
The twins nod again.
"Yeah, one of the journals and a history book in the library mentioned it, why?" said Dipper
"Well kiddos... that's why the town is bigger. The monsters got set free."
Dipper started to get excited about all of the new creatures and literal monsters he could encounter or meet. Yet also scared too.
"But Stan, can't they use magic and like, burn everything to ash?" asked a concerned Dipper. Mabel on the otherhand, was hellbent on befriending one and teaching them how to knit. She said "OH, OH, BEST IDEA! When I am not here, someone or something else can knit sweaters for everyone until the queen of knitting returns! Me! I must take on a knitting apprentice. A... knitrentice!"

A vampire knitrentice!
You're a genius Mabel!
Thanks Mabel!
You're welcome Mabel!

Ford reassured Dipper that "The Monsters and us all live in perfect peace. After "you-know-what" accepting the fact that monsters exist wasn't hard. Accepting the Monsters into our community took sometime, but it was quick compared to everywhere else they've ventured to. Only a matter of a week or two."
Dipper relaxed. But not enough to calm his excitement to see one. Mabel was happy that her brother was excited to explore again. This is how she liked to see her brother, adventurous, courageous and having fun.
"Oh and uh... one last thing."
The twins looked at Stan.
"They were freed by a human, who... live in Gravity Falls."
Dipper wanted to meet them.
Mabel wanted to befriend them and make them a sweater.
"You can't miss 'em. They're like, the only person who wears a striped shirt and has their eyes shut all the time... uh, I think."
Ford then told the twins, "Now, unpack your things and how about we show you around the new areas to the town and build a snowman?"
The twins shouted in excitement and ran up the stairs to unpack and wrap up. Stan and Ford were delighted they took the information well, and were also delighted at the thought of going out in the snow. Then, after a few minutes, Dipper and Mabel came downstairs all wrapped up and ready to go, Stan and Ford were too, and together, they opened the door and stepped back out into the white sheet of pure snow that covered Gravity Falls.
