{Jade}

I'm woken by Rylee shaking my shoulder. I slowly stretch, yawning. I must of fallen asleep leaning on window. Speaking of the window...

I look outside and see a place so foreign. The trees are full and leafy, not a single dead leaf anywhere. The people walking by are mostly wearing pastel blues and greens. This Pack is beautiful.

The Mercury Pack.

Of course, the Venus Pack are the rulers of beauty, but this is a nice contrast. Most of us Venus members wear pastels also, but in shades of pink and yellow.

We have an association between certain Packs. As you can probably tell, Venus has a tie to Mercury, but also to Uranus. There's tons of other ties I don't feel like explaining right now.

I stand up, Rylee pulling on my arm. I can do this.. I can do this...

We slowly get off the train, myself trailing behind Rylee. She's so excited for this. I, however, am the complete opposite of her attitude.

Rylee seems to notice this as she gives me a side hug and a reassuring smile.

I breathe in the Mercury Pack air. It's so fresh and rejuvinating. Of course, with the Mercury Pack being the leaders of intelligence, futuristic buildings were everywhere. It looked a lot like a werewolf "New York City".

Alpha Jarron disembarks the front of the train, looking to all of us from the Pack Platform.

"Ladies! Take a moment to let the view sink in." I watched as the rest of the girls looked around in awe. 5 seconds later, he called our attention again.

"You will all be staying in Alpha Lukas's estate, and he will show you around the Pack. And not only that, he will be inviting every one of his young Pack members there later tonight to figure out each of your mates."

Oh God. This is happening tonight.

I can't stop the mini heart-attack I'm having. I have horrible anxiety.

Probably the reason why I only have two friends.

Rylee, again, notices my obvious discomfort and whispers kind words in my ear, calming me to the point where I can actually pay attention to Alpha Jarron again. But...

When I look up....

I see him.

Alpha Lukas.

* * * * * * *

He's truly beautiful.

He's perfect.

I have to shake myself out of my state as he looks over all of us with eyes that could make me melt, and a smirk so intoxicating...

So far, I'm not doing so well in my goal to stop admiring him.

He asserts himself, addressing all of us with a voice so melodic, yet deep.

I almost fainted right then.

"Hello everyone! Please follow me t-" He cut off.

It was then that I realized...

He was staring directly at me.

He cleared his throat and began speaking again, glancing around uncomfortably.

Was I that ugly? Or maybe he felt what I felt?

Probably the prior.

I look down, downhearted. We've been here for 20 minutes and I'm already wishing I was home.

We walk behind Alpha Lukas towards the massive estate. It's amazing, yet not like Alpha Jarron's in the slightest. It looks very modern, a stark white, contrasting with the lush greenery surrounding it.

In pairs, we're all lead to our room for the night. Again, I luckily managed to end up in a room with Rylee. She'll help me keep my anxiety down for the time that we're here.

I set my bag on the floor at the foot of my bed and go to lay down, when there's a knock at the door.

Rylee and I look at each other before she goes and opens it.

"Ye- Oh! Alpha Lukas! Um... What can I do for you?" She asks, her eyes widening in surprise.

He chuckles a bit. "May I come in?"

"Of course! Um... yeah." She steps aside, clearing her throat nervously.

He looks at me. His blue eyes like ice, but he doesn't seem malicious. Regardless, it doesn't stop my heart from nearly beating out of my chest.

Then, with his voice hard and demanding, he stares at me and says,

"I need to speak with you."

*******

Ugh. I know, I know. Short and sucky.

IT WILL GET BETTER. I PROMISE.

But that's all for now.

Bye bye!
