Mrs.Edogawa

Inside the Mori Detective Agency,Kogoro Mori is joyfully watching Yoko on T.V while Ran is in the kitchen making dinner.

'I wonder if Conan will have dinner here tonight?' she thought

Knock,knock!

Ran heard the knock on their door and since she knows that her father won't open it,for his too indulge in Yoko Okino show,she leave the kitchen to open the door

"Conan-kun!" at the back of him is "Mrs.Edogawa!"

"Hello!"Yukiko,who's in disguise,greeted back joyfully

Kogoro snapped from his fan boy moments when he heard it,
"Oh,Mrs.Edogawa!"he greeted "Please,come in,come in!"

Kogoro lead them to the living room,Mrs.Edogawa sat on the long couch and beside her is Conan while opposite of them is Kogoro and Ran.

"Would you like anything to drink?"Ran asked

"Juice would be fine."Mrs.Edogawa smiled

"How about you,Conan-kun?"

"Just the same as Okasan"

"okay,just a minute."and she proceed to their kitchen

"It's nice meeting you again,Mrs.Edogawa"Kogoro said

"Same here,Mr.Mori."

"May I ask why you suddenly came here Mrs.Edogawa,although I'm happy that you're here to visit Conan-kun"Kogoro asked still smiling

'heh,CONAN-KUN!'Conan thought 'I bet his expecting something,'

"That truth is I'm not here just to visit him,"

"Is it business?"

Conan's POV

Ran came back from the kitchen,holding a tray w/ 4 drinks in there

"Here's your drink"and she placed it one by one to us

"I'm actually here to fetch my son,Conan"

Mom answered which stunned the 2 of them

"Fetch?Conan-kun?"Ran still in awry

"You heard it right,I'm taking my son this time,"she said w/ sad and very apologetic tone

"Why so sudden?"Ojou-chan asked cause Ran is stikl in shock,I think

"You see,me and my husband is been thinking that we are neglecting our own child because of our works so I  thought,'why not make him live with us in America so that we could spend some time together whenever we got a chance to get out of work,so that we can have family time' and there we decide to make Conan live with us."Okasan explained.
"I hope you understand us,Mori-kun,Ran-chan"

"Of course we understand it,Mrs.Edogawa,after all I'm also a parent."Ojouchan answered w/ a smile but a sad one

"It just that...it's so sudden,"Ran said,sadness is visible on her face

"I'm really sorry for this sudden news,but me and my husband is really grateful to you for taking good care of our son"

"It's nothing,we are also thankful that we are able to know Conan-kun and took care of him."Ran said,"we will surely miss him"her eyes starting to get teary

'Ran'

"Don't worry Ran-neechan,I promise to call you and give you updates from time to time"

Ran seemed to cheer up a little because of what he said

"Uhm!You promised that!"she said as she brushed the tears from her eyes

The 2 adults smiled

"Thank you for being understanding"Mrs.Edogawa said then she gets something from her bag,"Here,"she put infront of Kogoro"A Thank You gift from me and my husband for taking care of our son"

Kogoro and Ran look at it,'A money check!'

And when they look in the amount...

"5 MILLION YEN!"they said in unison,Kogoro already holding the check

"Oh why?Is it not enough?"Mrs.Edogawa asked

"N-No,it's not that...
It's just that...Isn't it too much?"Ran said

"RAN!"Kogoro hushed her

"Oh no,of course it's not.You've taken care of our son very well for almost a year.Also,treat it as our Christmas gift since I wasn't able to buy any."She answered smiling

"We will accept it!Thank you!Thank you so much!"Kogoro said happily

"Really,Otusan"Ran was just able to sigh on her father,"Thank you so much again,Mrs.Edogawa."

"It's nothing"she smiled"Oh!Before I forgot,here"she gave a envelope to Ran

"We will be having a dinner party tomorrow,7pm,at Haido City Hotel,For Conan-kun and Ai-chan"

"There will be a party?"Conan didn't know about it

"Hai!Don't worry,it's just a small one."

"W-wait,also Haibara?"Ran asked

"Oh,yes!It just happened that her father is also here in Japan to get her,so we decided to make this small farewell party for the 2 of them."She said happily

"I see,"Kogoro"Expect us tomorrow"

"Then we should go now,Conan-kun has a sleepover party w/ his friends at Hakase's house."

"Won't you have dinner first?"Ran asked

"It's fine,Ran-neechan.Haibara is cooking dinner cause the detective boys will come over at 7."Conan explained

"O-oh,is that so?"Conan just nod

"We'll go now,it's 6:30 already."Mrs.Edogawa bid their goodbye and the Mori's lead their way to the door.

"You're really prepared ha,"
Conan or Shinichi said to his mom

"Of course,me and champagne planned this plot!"his told him cheerfully

"But why is there a party!?"

"It's just a simple farewell to your friends.Afterall,we don't know if they'll be able to see Conan & Ai again after this."

Her last sentence made Conan a bit sad,'That's right,for Shinichi & Shiho to return,Conan & Ai should vanished.' his heart ache by this thought,'Yeah,Truth hurts.'
