Like seriously, why not write about an 89 year old grandma who is a badass and is amazing or something. 
Okay, what I said there was weird, but just listen. 
Explore different ages. Because it will lead to a unique story. NOT EVERY BOOK NEEDS TO BE ABOUT A 17 YEAR OLD.
