That's not how it works. Not in real stories.
Maybe in fantasy. But not in nonfiction.
There is a process. I don't know all the steps since I'm not studying it, but I know that there is much more then being hooked up to IVs and put through chemotherapy.
You have to do your research. Because it could be educational to readers, and correct.
You don't want someone commenting on your story "that's actually incorrect".
You have to know what you are writing about.
