"God damn, we're so far back," I complain about the new spot we have to park in, at least a quarter of a mile from the building because someone passed out drunk in the old one. Not a car has moved since we left, it seems to have been completely undisturbed since we left.

"Why? Excited to get back to Freeman?" he mocks me as I hurriedly exit the car.

"Oh, absolutely. Old flames always burn hotter," I smirk at Zack as he tries to keep up with my pace.

"Oh yeah?" he laughs, just as a loud boom comes from the building, and it explodes in front of us.

"No!" I yell out just before the impact throws both Zack and I back, and I hit my head against the cement.
