Heartache

OK, so first off, I know this is over dramatic, but so is everything else in here.

Second off, play that song (which is not by me) in the background while reading this for maximum effect.

There once was a man,
Innocent as a child.
But to the truth of this world,
He was blind.

Never doubting,
He believed all.
Never suspecting,
He trusted all.

Lived life believing in karma,
Spreading forgiveness and sympathy.
Helping others, in return
Expecting to be happy.

On a girl his eyes fell.
For the girl his heart slipped.
She became his world.
For her, all his priorities slipped.

Alas, he knew no better.
For trust he got betrayal.
For his kindness he suffered.
Of darkness, this was the world's portrayal.

When he needed them,
They failed to be there.
Crying blood,
He stood there.

Every coin
Has two sides.
In every human
A beast resides.

The world saw
An uncharted side of his.
Gone was the era,
Of his ignorant bliss.

No longer life's helper,
But like death's reaper.
Now a retribution server,
No longer a peace keeper.

With despair and
Determination filled,
He now knew, in this world,
It's kill or be killed.

Now that you all feel melodramatic after that depressing and extremely melodramatic poem and song, here's a nice ol' song to chear ya chaps up! (Can't believe I just typed that sentence...)

Again, not a song by me.
