I got some great news yesterday!! As I mentioned in an earlier blog, my insurance approved a very expensive genetic test. I had it done about a month ago. Yesterday they called me with the results. They came back negative. Meaning I do NOT have genetice markers for my cancer. This means that the likelihood it will reoccur is less and that the likelihood my daughter will get it is markedly less. I will still have to go through my regular follow-ups after I am in remission and of course my daughter will need to get regular screening but this takes such a huge weight off of my shoulders!!! Smiling big today!
