callum came over after four months.
josh had just left and when i heard someone knocking i immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was him.
but i wasn't greeted with those warm hazel eyes that i found so comforting.
instead, i was greeted with callum's ice blue ones.
he made me feel bad, like i made him leave.
but i knew that wasn't the case.
he made that decision himself.
but now, seeing him in front of me with puffy eyes and cheeks stained from crying, that guilt started to creep up inside me again.
so i let him in.
"i miss you" callum said, playing with the sleeves of his hoodie.
i didn't respond, because i couldn't say it back.
"i heard you found someone else" he continued, his cerulean eyes glossy. i nodded in response.
"joshua zerker" he said.
"my best friend" he continued, leaving me shocked and lost in thought as he blurted out a "sorry" and made his way out of my small apartment.
