Imani's POV

"So wassup, why you call me over?" Kevin asked, laying on my bed.

"I just wanted you to come over, first day of summer and I'm already bored," I laughed.

"Wasting my gas," he whispered, "But anyways, I got me a apartment," he added.

"For real? When?" I asked.

"This morning, but it's downtown though, and a bit pricey, so I gotta get my hustle up," He said.

I chuckled and shook my head, "So how was the other day," I asked.

"Good, actually great. And how was your day, meeting August?" He asked.

"Fun, Ruby had to leave me with him all alone," I sighed.

"Her and her damn... Let me not get started," He chuckled, shaking his head.

"And I also gothisnumber," I said, fastly.

"You what?" He asked.

"Got his number," I smiled, cowardly.

"You didn't," he added.

"Surely did,"

"Girl, you one lucky bitch, getting celebrity numbers and shit, you should call him," he added.

"No, he's probably busy,"

"Not to busy to answer his damn phone, now call him,"

"Fine," I sighed.

I took off my phone off of my aux cord and scrolled through my contact list to find his name.

"Here we go," I said to Kevin, putting my phone towards my ear.

Three rings later, he picked up, "Hello, who dis'," He asked.

"It's Imani from the other day," I smiled.

"Oh forreal, I thought you wasn't gon' call a nigga," he let out a soft laugh.

"Wellll, you thought wrong," I laughed, while Kevin kept staring at me.

"So wassup, watchu doin'?" He asked.

"Nothing much, chilling. What about you?" I asked.

"Nothing much really, bout' to go get sum' breakfast from IHop, you should join,"

"Umm," I hesitated, "Sure, what time?"

"Just be ready, imma' come get you, ight'?" He added.

"Ok," I smiled.

"Bye love,"

"Bye August," I smiled once again, hanging up the phone.

"So what he say?" Kevin asked me, I forgot he was even here.

"He's taking me out for breakfast," I replied, walking towards my closet.

"Damn, you invited a nigga over, expect me to leave, wow," he said, disappointed.
