Leisel was almost out of sight when Rudy jumped into his empty body.
A minute later the boy opened his eyes wide up and shielded them from the sun with one of his almost black hands.
Then the boy,Rudy Steiner ,finally realized what was going on. He lifted his head with the now dusty Lemon colored hair ,up has far as he could ,watching the girl of his dreams ,the girl he had asked for a kiss so many times walking away.
That's when he shouted what he had wanted to tell her so many times,"-ve you saumensch!" his words echoed down the street until they came to the heart broken girl.
Right when her ears picked up the sound of Rudy Steiner's voice,she whipped around ,her blond hair getting in the way of her eye's teary sight.
"RUDY!"she screamed ,desperate for the lemon haired boy's answer,desperate hope in her brownish blue eyes.
"LEISEL!"Rudy shouted as loud as he could.which by the way was not loud.Leisel couldn't believe her ears,he was alive!She ran to the body that lie in the soot ,almost crashing into him.
"watch it saumensch!"Rudy told her jokingly ,in cooperating her old nickname they hadn't used in what seemed like forever.
"oh Rudy ,don't ever do that to me ever again ,I thought you were dead!"Leisel screamed in the boys ear,"Leisel , he mumbled,"yes,Rudy ?"the book thief questioned."i was dead.."as Rudy's sentence drifted off,shock and fear entered Liesel's eyes.
