"Um Jackie? Jackie?" he whispered.

He then shouted in a quiet tone.

"Jackie!"

My eyes shot open and saw Peter.

"Peter!" I said really loudly.

He put his finger over his lips and looked at Joey.

"Sorry" I whispered.

He took my hand and led me outside.

"I can't believe you are back! I missed you so much!" I gave him a big hug.

"I missed you too, lassie." Oh his accent when he said that was amazing.

He leaned down I kissed me. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around him. He grabbed my thighs and spun us in a circle. He set me down, our lips still never separating.

I heard Joey coughing. I pulled back.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Oh, Joey has been sick for like two days and I have been playing nurse. So I hope it's ok that he sleeps in our room, he just looked so-" I interrupted me by giving me a little kiss on my nose.

"It's fine." He smiled. "I think you would be a great mother." He said shyly.

Did he really want to talk about this right now?

I heard Joey coughing even louder.

I looked at him with sorry eyes.

"Just give me a couple of minutes."

He nodded. I walked into the tent. I went to the bedside. I saw Peter walk in and watch us.

"Are you feeling any better?" I run my fingers through his hair, trying to comfort him.

"Just a little bit," he saw Peter standing there. His eyes got a little bigger. "Do you know what, I can sleep in my own room-"

Peter walked over.

"No, it's ok Joey, you can stay here for tonight." Peter said sympathetically.

I never see him act like this before, but I liked it.

"I'm going to check your temperature again," I got up to go get it.

"No, I will go get it, and I will bring back some cough syrup too." Peter patted my shoulder.

I sat back down and looked at Joey.

"You two are perfect for each other" he said in a little nasally voice.

"Shhhhh" I giggled.

Peter came back and put the thermometer into his mouth.

He handed me the cough syrup.

I was prepping it onto a spoon.

Wow we worked so well together.

I handed him the spoon carefully and he handed me the thermometer.

101.2 degrees.

He sat Joey up and helped him gulp down the medicine.

"There you go bud." he patted his shoulder.

"Thanks Peter." He said.

I saw him tense up a little. I am really the only one who calls him Peter.

I saw Peter was going to say something but I patted his shoulder.

"Um Joey," I interrupted "I think you should get more sleep."

He laid back down.

Peter and I sat in the floor and leaned against the wall.

Joey eventually fell asleep. I put my head on Peter's shoulder.

"Why don't you go to sleep?" he asked me.

"No, I want to be awake if he wakes up."

"Honey, you look exhausted."

"Oh thanks." I said sarcastically.

"No I didn't mean it like that." he giggled. "Just get some sleep. I will take care of him." He kissed the top of my head and put his arm behind me.

I then fell asleep against my favorite person in the whole world.

*Peter's POV*

I say there, trying not to fall asleep.

I saw my shadow come into the tent. He flew into my body, so that I can talk to him without actually talking.

"Any news?"

"Tamara and Greg will be bringing the boy tomorrow."

"Great. Is his family suspecting anything?" I asked.

"Not at all, but they seem like the kind of family who will do anything to get him back."

"That's ok, I have everything planned out."

"What will we do with Greg and Tamara after they bring us the boy?"

"What we always do with problems we don't need, we simply get rid of them."

My shadow left my body and disappeared into the night.

Tomorrow, we shall have our fun.
