"When I was born my mother called me Lucy, she gave me the nickname 'Lucky Lucy' she thought I was a sign of luck as I was born the day after St Patrick's Day at 3 am. I had long straight ginger hair, freckles, a small nose and green eyes and she thought that my green eyes were proving I was lucky.
I lived in 23 GreenDale Road, it was beautiful, in Summer, berries grew on bushes, birds would come out and sing, rabbits would hop about on the grass, everything would be green, the fresh smell of summer would come and the summer Sun glistened, but that's not all, my mother and I always had picnics in the Summer and always mucked about in the grass rolling together and splashing each other with water from the lake in GreenDale Nature Parks...
Well that was when she was here... she isn't here anymore, it was my fault, we went to GreenDale Parks one day in Spring and I forgot my coat and I wore my Summer dress instead, so did my Mum but she wore her coat, I didn't... it started to rain, and I was shivering and she gave me her coat and then she shivered and I still made her play with me, I didn't know that her shivering was serious and that day when we came home her hands were... blue and she fell Ill and all week she was in bed... she didnt get better, my dad took her to the hospital and... she never came back... my dad was crying and sent me to my room... I heard him make phone calls and I think she died as she never came back... she never came back for me... I was only 4 at the time but it still hurt, it hurt so bad... she was gone and it was all my fault... so from then on I felt like I was the unlucky charm in the family, 'Unlucky' Lucy... not 'Lucky' Lucy... I killed her... it was all my fault she died... she went somewhere I couldn't follow, somewhere I couldn't go, somewhere I didn't belong, somewhere I can't walk,
somewhere far away, I still miss her and I will never ever see her pretty hazel green eyes and her brown straight shimmery hair and her beautiful smile, she was my mum, my own, my precious mum, I am no Luck, all I've done is killed my Mum and made my dad depressed... they called me Lucky Lucy but I'm not Lucky..."
