Chapter 1
You've still got 10 minutes

Faster...faster....faster!!!!
I was running in my high heels and the building came closer inch by inch. But it was still too far. I checked the time again and whined. Damn! I'm late. I adjusted my purse and files in my hands so they wont fall off. By the time i reached the building i was all sweaty and panting heavily. I tried to settle down my frizzed hair and adjusted my coat at the same time while i reached the reception. I asked the room no. for my meeting. Ugh!! My boss is going to kill me. I was cursing under my breath while patting at the glass desk continuously waiting for a no. so i could rush off. Instead of a dreadful room no. of some of the top floors of the hotel which would take forever to reach, my ears caught this...
"You've still got 10 minutes. Before the meeting starts, i mean."
What? I looked around to confirm if the the statement was directed to me. Indeed, it was. There was nobody else at the reception. I finally looked up to the receptionist with the glass of water and tissue he was holding out. For me. I kept looking at him...confused.
"Breathe" his playful voice said.
"Huh?" Was my intelligent reply.
He raised his eyebrows and i realized.
"Oh! Yeah." I blushed while i released a breath i didn't know i was holding. I looked at him again and he handed me the glass and the tissue. I drank it all in one go and swept the sweat off. He had an amused look on his face...and there...i blushed again.
"Thanks." I said in a small voice. He nodded still smiling.
I checked the clock hung on the wall and he was indeed right. Guess i should correct my faster running watch. I sat on a sofa and quietly checked him out. Some other people came to the reception too and he was busy attending them so i shamelessly utilized the opportunity. He was a very handsome man. His black hair swept backwards, chiseled jaw, chocolate brown eyes, a diamond like piercing in one ear which surprisingly made him look elegant and sophisticated. He had quiet a good built with a white button down and a black coat. I could see till his torso only as the rest was hidden behind the desk.

During the whole meeting i was thinking about him. His friendly nature, his warm aura and those cute expressions. Whoa!! What's wrong with me??

As i entered the reception area, the first thing i noticed was, that he was not there. Where did he go?? A break maybe? I waited for him for around two hours-trying not to ask myself for a justification-but there was no sign of him.
I sighed and went back home.

I tried hard to not think about him but i would be lying if i said i didn't. But at least lying is easier than accepting, isn't it? Next morning he was just a small memory which i denied to think about. As i entered the metro heading towards my regular office i thought i caught a glimpse of him.

At first i thought that it was just my imagination. But my curiosity got the best of me and i started leaning backward and forward to look for him. Some passengers turned around to give me funny looks but i didn't mind just then. If there was a slightest possibility that i could see him again, i was not going to miss it for someone who woke up at the wrong side of the bed. He was really there, sitting on one of the seats stuffed far away in the crowd. I blinked twice and thrice trying to believe my luck and it was a relief to know that i was not hallucinating for he was still there.  Should I approach him? But what would i say? Hey, you remember me? The clumsy girl from the reception yesterday?
Man!! Its so embarrassing. As i debated with my inner self, the train jolted to a stop and people rushed towards the exit. I lost sight of him and when the train started again he was gone.

The bell for my lunch break broke the river of my thoughts. Should I go to that hotel again? To see him? But what excuse would i use??
