"Carmen." A voice barked above her, her heart pounding out of her chest from the abrupt voice. She whipped her head upwards and came face to face with Eva and Derek, arms crossed over their chests in contemplation and disappointment.

Carmen felt anger bubbling inside of her the more she stared back at their faces. She turned around to see Argent and his family of hunters, equipped with bows and guns.

It was all a set up. A test.

She wanted to scream and shout at them, but her body was in such pain and exhaustion that she couldn't find it in herself to. Her eyes shut and she limped to the side, falling unconscious.

"Your idea of 'Training' is fucking barbaric." Carmen spat at Eva and Derek as she sat atop Deaton's metal vet counter. Deaton was stirring up some concoction on the side of the room, most likely to heal the many wounds that littered her body. Eva and Derek sat on the other side, listening to Carmen rant on and on.

"When you said early morning training, I didn't expect to be fucking kidnapped!" She yelled at them, eyes flashing blue as she trembled with anger.

"You need to calm down." Derek warned her, leaning back in his chair. "Your body's already been through enough overexertion. Just try not to turn and let Deaton heal you."

"Don't tell me to calm down," She snarked bitterly, whipping her head at him. "This is your fault!"

"Carmen." Deaton spoke up, walking up next to her. He held a jar that had a slightly chunky brownish-black substance in it. "Please stay calm while I do this."

She huffed in annoyance but obeyed him nevertheless, trying to keep her temper at bay. His fingers dipped into the mixture and he began to rub it along Carmen's collarbones generously, massaging it into her skin. It was cold and uncomfortable, but she shut her eyes and withstood it.

A minute later when he was done, he screwed a cap back onto the lid and set it down next to her.

"We're done here," Was all he said before walking over back to the counters and washing his hands off. "But, there is something I'd like to discuss with you, Carmen."

Carmen turned around and cocked her head, waiting for him to begin speaking again.

"What happened to you this morning was no joke." He clapped his hands together, giving her a serious look that burned into her. "I didn't rub this on the rest of your wounds because those should heal within the next day. Wings don't work like that- They take much longer to heal. If you use what I gave you every day, you should hopefully be able to fly again in the next two months-"

"TWO MONTHS!?" Carmen exploded through gritted teeth.

"-It would be 6, if you didn't have this." Deaton continues, tapping the lid of the jar. "I'm sorry that this happened to you, but all you can do now is move forwards."

Carmen plastered a fake smile to herself as she tried to keep herself calm, no matter how much she wanted to rip Eva and Derek to shreds at that very moment.

"Okay." She muttered, "Okay. Yeah. Thank you."

"CARMEN!" Eva screamed as Carmen picked up a vase and smashed it to the ground. "CARMEN, CALM DOWN!"

"CALM DOWN!?" She screamed, kicking over a chair. "I CAN'T FUCKING FLY ANYMORE BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS!"

"YOU'LL HEAL." Eva insisted angrily, taking a cautionary step towards her. "THE POINT OF THIS MORNING WAS TO EXPOSE YOU TO YOUR POWERS, AND THAT'S WHAT I DID. YOU FLIPPED THAT CAR ALL BY YOURSELF IN SELF DEFENSE- YOU SHOULD BE PROUD."
