"First off, where are we?" Beta asked, still lying on Epsilon's knee, only moving her head once to see who was speaking.

"You don't recognize this place," the man said, laughing a bit. "Take a look around, doesn't it look familiar at all?" Epsilon followed the advice and searched the room. There were small gashes in the floor, small tally marks on the walls, and the door was broken off the wall as if thrown. There was a flickering swinging light on the ceiling. The startling revelation of where they were hit Epsilon like a train.

"We're back," Epsilon said softly, he could barely get the words out. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma looked around and covered their mouths, gasping wide-eyed. Gamma cursed, Alpha threw his head back in disappointment, and Beta just rested her head back on his Epsilon as if she didn't have the strength or the will to keep her head up.

"Yes, and might I add, welcome back." The Director said, clapping his hands together in amusement.

"Well, we'll just break out again," Gamma said, as if she was explaining her future plans for the weekend.

"Oh I've prepared in case you decided to," The man said. "First off, that drug will suppress your unique abilities until I am ready to use them." Epsilon tried to turn his arm invisible and realized the Director was right. Nothing happened; his arm remained the same.

"Secondly, you may have already noticed that there is a leash on your ankles," the Director continued. "Remember these? They worked before and they will work now," he finished. The team looked at the leashes with horrid disgust. They distantly remembered what those were, now that their minds were clear, they knew exactly what they were.

They were small ingenious shackles that will keep anyone where someone wants them. There was a strong metal ring connected to a cord. There was no way to get the ring off unless the key is used. The cord was made of a strong, elastic material with several small metallic rods inside. The rods all swivel on joints to allow for maximum movement.

The rods were connected to a large power source. When the rods were bent or on a swivel, the electricity wouldn't have a current to follow. However, if you tried to walk to the door, it would straighten out the cord and the rods, sending an electric current through the rods, sending a constant stream of fifty volts through your entire body.

Epsilon looked over at the far wall and sure enough, they were still there. Whoever ran this place decided it would be a fun sick joke to place the keys across the room, just out of arms reach. It didn't stop them from trying however. Several times they attempted to grab the keys on the hook, but their fingers would only brush the metal tips of the keys, before the pain was too strong to continue trying. However, they would try again and again.

Unfortunately, that was how that team lost one of their members. The Titans team had originally five members. Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma, and Epsilon. Delta was part of the group. She was the strongest will of the group and hated the scientists with a fury that rivaled no others. She was the most abused and tested on of the group.

She tried every day to escape. Never had any luck. It drove her mad. Everyday she would try, reaching for the set of keys. She never got close enough to remove the keys from the hook. Finally, she touched the keys; the metallic sound was like heaven to their ears. She waited until they swung back and she could get a grip, the pain almost blinding her. She wouldn't allow the rest of them to help her.

Finally she had grabbed a hold and ripped them off the wall. She had fallen backwards, panting, in more pain than any of them could imagine. She could barely pick up the set of keys. She was shaking as she put the key in her anklet, they created a small spark, then the next thing they knew, she was lying face down, dead. Several seconds later, a small medical team ran in the room, and dragged their fallen teammate away.
