Jacob sat in his car, refusing to leave Connor's drive way. He felt a twinge of regret fill his chest as he replayed the previous night. Jacob slightly had taken advantage of his intoxicated state. Jacob felt like an asshole for doing so. He could've avoided this if he wouldn't have kissed him.

Jacob sighed, putting the key into the ignition, and starting the car. He drove out the driveway of his house.

"Shit." Jacob says to himself, he had forgotten that today was Thursday which meant he had school today. When he looked at the time and saw it was 8:30am he knew he was late. He sped down the streets, attempting to get to school as fast as he could before he was even more late. Quickly he got out of his car not even bothering to grab his backpack. He ran to the double  doors which was no use considering the school locked them after 8:00am.

"I thought I thought I was the only one who was late." A familiar voice says from beside Jacob. He turns around and nearly jumps when he sees the blue eyed boy.

"I slept in late." He half lied to the boy who shares a knowing look with him.

"Say wanna skip?" He says raising an eyebrow. Jacob looks at the boy like he was crazy. Jacob's mom would be fuming if she found out he had skipped two days in a row, but something about his offer seemed inviting. "I swear I'll be nice." He says teasingly a wide grin on his lips.

Jacob huffs, rolling his eyes. "Fine." He says.

"Oh and Jacob I'm sorry about yesterday. I kinda was a dick." Troye mumbles softly. Jacob looked at Troye, shocked to be hearing him saying sorry. Jacob had thought Troye was the type of person to never apologize first, but he had thought wrong.

"No problem." Jacob says walking down the steps. Troye follows behind him, trailing behind a bit.

Jacob being the gentleman he was, held the door open for Troye. He couldn't help but grin softly at the boy, his blue eyes staring deep into his hazel ones.

"Nice car." Troye says, even though he had previously been in it the other day. Jacob chuckled softly at him rolling his eyes. "So where to?"

"How am I supposed to know? Don't you remember I just moved to town?" He questions Troye.

"I do remember, but do you at least have a favorite place?" Troye rolls his eyes all ready growing annoyed with Jacob.

Jacob did have a favorite place he liked to go to when things got a little too bad at home, but he didn't want to take Troye their. That was his own spot that he found he didn't want Troye knowing where it was.

"No I don't." Jacob lied.

Troye left out a grumble, about to get out of the car, he was annoyed with Jacob's presence.

"Let's just go anywhere." Jacob says pulling him back. He felt a jolt go up his hand as they touched. "I promise I'll  be less annoying." He says resting his hand on Troye's shoulder, Jacob felt his heart flutter at the touch. He quickly pulled his hand away biting his lip.

"You better be less annoying or I'll walk my ass home." Troye jokes. Jacob chuckles, putting the key in the ignition and starting the car, he pulled out of the parking lot. Jacob tried his hardest not to stare at Troye from the corner of his eye. But it grew difficult.

Troye dug around in his bag and pulled out his white headphones. He slipped them around his neck plugging the cord into his phone.

"Do you ever not wear those things?" Jacob questions looking over at Troye for a moment. He rolls his eyes, but nods his head.

"Matter of fact I do." He simply says. To prove his point he takes the headphones off his neck and puts them back into his bag.

A silence filled the car. It wasn't a comfortable silence friends share. It was the awkward silence where no one really knew what to say to start a conversation up.

Jacob licked his lips, zoning out completely. He hadn't heard Troye talking to him about something.

"Jacob, dude." Troye snaps his fingers in front of his face snapping him out of his daze. "I asked if you wanted to go to the aquarium in town. But you were too zoned out." He chuckles. Jacob wasn't going to admit it but his accent and laugh was making his stomach do back flips.

Jacob nervously laughs, starting to regret agreeing to skip school today with him. "Sure, I'll pay." Jacob offers smiling nervously. He was a ball a of nervous as he was starting to realize things about this boy.

"No I got this." He argues waving his hands in front of him. Jacob rolled his eyes, only agreeing to get him to shut up.

"Then I'll pay for lunch. It's settled." Jacob smiles over at him. Troye groans but agrees to this, he wanted to pay for everything as a 'I'm sorry I'm an asshole' gift, but of course Jacob had other ideas.

Jacob couldn't help but feel butterflies in his stomach. He also felt a twinge of guilt, he was with Connor not even hours ago and now here he was out with Troye skipping school. Jacob looked over at Troye every now and then, his blue eyes always were glued to the window watching as things passed by. Jacob was fascinated by him. Jacob wanted so badly to hate Troye in this moment and from now on, but he realized he could never hate the blue eyed boy.

"Off to the aquarium." Troye cheers pulling Jacob out of his thoughts. Jacob looks over at him for a second before he focuses his eyes back on the road.

"Off to the aquarium we go." He says glancing at the boy.
