your P.O.V

"its really poring out there, do you think I could just crash here for the night?" I asked one of my best friends, Mike, looking outside at the heavy rain drops that fell hitting the ground hard.

"sure you can sleep downstairs with el, I think Nancy's sleeping bag is on the banister and there are pillows downstairs in the closet" Mike replied, "and I think you should tell el about how you feel" , Mike is the only person who knows that I am les/bi/pan and that I like Eleven,

"you are never going to let this go are you?" I asked, a small smile forming on my face

"this is what best friends are for, good night y/n" he said walking upstairs

"night Mike", I grab Nancy's sleeping bag and walk down stairs.

I see Eleven sitting on the couch fiddling with her walkie talkie that she got from Joyce for Christmas, she looks up when I sit down next to her.

"Hi el, I'm crashing here for the night" I tell her

"crashing?" she looks at me with confusion, she's cute when she's confused,

"oh that means I'm staying here for the night, it also means to bump into something or someone" I explain

"crashing" she nods trying the word out,

"is it okay if I sleep down here with you?" I ask her

"yes' she replies, she gets up and walks over to her bed, the wheelers made the basement her room after they adopted her.

"I'll just sleep here on the couch" I said getting a pillow from the closet.

I laid down and just stared at the ceiling waiting for the tiredness to come and sweep me off to sleep but the sound of rain and the thunder kept me awake, i heard tiny whimpers coming from el, I guess they were keeping her up too.

"you okay El?" i asked sitting up looking at her, she was sitting up too with her knees up against her chest with her head buried in them, she looked up tears falling down her face and small sobs coming from her mouth, she shook her had, I got up and went and sat on her bed, she quickly crawled over to me and buried her head into my chest, my chin resting on top of her head as she quietly sobbed into my chest, I gently rubbed her back.

We said nothing, we cuddled until I felt my eyes start to close slowly drifting of to sleep.
