HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sorry this chapter is late; there were many things preventing me from completing it on New Year's Day.

THIS IS NOT CANON! This chapter, like the previous one DOES NOT happen in the actual story! It's just a special chapter from me to you guys, especially for those readers who love the kalemxjesse ship! The next chapter will continue the actual story!

Stepping out of the cold shower that afternoon, I glanced at my phone that was sitting on the edge of the sink. As I dried my hair I noticed several messages had come through over the last hour or so. Sighing as I saw who they were from, I wrapped my towel around my body and picked it up, opening the messages.

Jesse! Do you have any plans tonight?

I don't think you do; you don't seem like the person to want to go out and party.

Since you won't have any plans, why don't you come out with me tonight?

Rolling my eyes, I couldn't believe how confident he was that I didn't have plans. With a little smirk, I decided to mess around with him first.

Oh, Kalem, I'm really sorry but I actually have plans tonight!

With a satisfied nod, I put my phone down and began to get changed. After I'd thrown on a pair of shorts and a singlet, I heard my phone buzz. Checking the message, I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but smile.

I know you're lying Jesse. Everyone else is going to the party tonight down by the beach. You, on the other hand, will be staying home because you don't want to deal with the crowds.

As I dried my hair more with a towel, I typed and sent my response before leaving the bathroom.

Okay, you caught me. I'm free. But that doesn't mean I have to go out with you.

Heading downstairs to the kitchen, I grabbed a cold class of water before sitting down at the kitchen table.

All of my plans involve you being with me tonight, so it does mean you'll have to join me.

What if my plans were to stay at home and do nothing?

Well that's just boring. Come on Jesse, it's only one night! I promise you'll enjoy yourself!

With a little sigh, I eventually agreed to go out with Kalem that night. Glancing over towards the calendar, I couldn't believe it was already New Year's eve. This year had gone by so fast. Reminiscing on the happenings of this year, I couldn't help but smile broadly. Despite everything that went wrong, I was able to make a group of amazing friends and memories.

Checking my phone again, I read over Kalem's new message.

Alright! I'll pick you up at 10p.m., make sure you're ready!

Checking the time, I realised I still had around 7 hours to spare before Kalem was to arrive. So, I decided the best way to fill in the time was to obviously binge watch as many episodes of a TV show as possible. Turning the television on, I logged into Netflix and began my search. Brooklyn Nine Nine was the first show to catch my eye, so I decided to just watch that one for a few hours.

Luckily, it was hilarious. By the time 9pm rolled around, I was actually upset that I had to stop watching and get ready to go out.

Stupid Kalem, making me go out on New Year's Eve when I could just keep watching TV shows all night.

You can binge watch TV shows next year. They'll always be there, Kalem might not be.

Stop using logic in these arguments, it's really not fair.
