Chapter 15: Ghost Parents

Jackie's POV

It was time for school once again. Alex hasn't texted me or called me. I'm not in the mood to see him in school today, so I'm hoping we don't bump into each other even though we most likely will.

Since Alex hasn't talked to me this weekend, I'm going to make him jealous. First, I need to find one hell of an outfit in my closet. Then, I need to be flirty with people in my class. Only problem, how the hell do you flirt? Well, only one way to find out.

Alex's POV

I can't talk to Jackie. I basically told her I wanted to be her first. How do you face someone after that? I'm such an idiot. Usually I'm all out with telling a girl what I want, but I can't do that with Jackie.

I was so mad at myself and didn't want to go to school to see Jackie. I texted Crystal:

Me: hey wanna skip and let me come over to ur house?
Annoying B**** Crystal: sure!
Me: meet u in 30

I turned my phone off. That exclamation point she added just shows how excited she is for this. Her perkiness was really started to get on my nerves.

I got ready and drove over to Crystal's house.

I rang her bell and she opened the door. Crystal was wearing a black and red laced lingerie. I rolled my eyes and let myself in. I waltz right into her bedroom.

"Let's get this over with."

She smiled and began kissing me. This wasn't a sweet and genuine kiss, no, it was a rough one. I just needed to get my mind off Jackie.

I threw my shirt over my head and it landed on the floor. Little by little, we were both stripped of our clothing and you can guess what happened next.

Jackie's POV

It's already lunch and I still have not seen Alex. All morning I've been flirting with random guys I see just in case Alex is watching.

I entered the cafeteria and saw Max at the table. For a moment, I forgot that Max is a part of the group. He turned my way and smiled. The rest of the boys followed his gaze and waved me over. If I ran away, they wouldn't leave me alone and just pressure me into telling them what's wrong.

So, I walked over to the table. Both Jacob and Dylan had a girl sitting on their laps. I didn't know who they were and honestly didn't care. But the problem is that the only seat left is next to Max. Usually, Alex would be sitting next to Max making me sit next to him. But since Alex isn't here I have to sit next to Max. On top of all this, I'm wearing an outfit that will make Max want to "bother" me.

I sat down next to him and faked a smile.

"Hey everyone."

"What's up?" All the boys said in unison.

I smiled and just looked down. I played with my fingers to try and distract myself.

Max wrapped an arm around me and pulled me into him.

"What the hell?" I yelled.

"Babe don't worry. We don't have to keep this a secret anymore."

"What?" I asked in confusion.

Max stood up on the table.

"Everyone may I please have your attention," Max said with a devilish grin. "I'm happy to say that Jackie and I are dating."
