Off limits chapter 13
Monday came around and Chandler had our hang out. We sat and watched Daredevil again. While watching I opened my Instagram feed. 90 likes...this was a first. It was the picture of Chandler and I, where I kissed his cheek while having a piggy back ride. Comment section was at first my friends teasing me...then came Chandler's fans. Most were nice, saying things along the lines of how pretty I was or how cute this was. Then there was a few hate comments thinking I was dating Chandler, even if the caption was just "time for candy!" With no indication anywhere if Chandler and I were dating.
"Hey, your not paying attention" Chandler teased
"Sorry, I was just looking at Instagram" I told him and put my phone in my pocket. I looked up and it was Stick and young Matt sitting on a bench. They were talking about when Matt became blind.
"I wonder what would suck worse, born being blind or having sight then being blind." I said and turned to him
"I don't know, why are you asking something like that?" He asked
"Just curious, I think being blind then losing your sight would suck the most. You know what your missing. You know what a sunset looks like what people look like. You know how beautiful a rainbow looks like. But you never get to see it again." I told him
"But being blind your whole life you would never experience these things" he said
I shrugged, "I don't know, I guess it's how you look at it"
"It's almost 7, you should head home" Chandler said
"But I wanna finish the episode" I said and put my head in his lap
"You better go Belle, I'll walk you home" he told me
I groaned and paused the show. "Let's go" I said and I got up, I grabbed my backpack and we left.
"I'll see you, tomorrow" he said
"Yeah, see ya" I said
"Wait, would you like to go on a date next Friday?" Chandler asked "we don't have school"
"You know what, yeah. I would love to" I told him and smiled
"Great! See ya" he said and started to walk away
"Bye" I said and walked into the house. To see bags.
"Belle!" I heard someone scream and footsteps
"Cassy!" I screamed and hugged her
"Aww how cute" Tony teased
"Shut up Tony" we both said in unison.
"Hey, how was your hang out with Chandler?" Jack asked
"We just watched Daredevil" I told him
"Who's Chandler?" Cassy asked and we sat on the couch.
I looked over at Tony who just rolled his eyes and left. "He's...well I don't know what we are anymore. I guess we're dating"
"Your dating who?" A voice said
"Jayden!" I screamed and hugged him, he was Cassy's long term boyfriend. They always travel together.
"Okay now who are you dating" he asked
"Chandler Riggs, he lives next door" I told them
"Wait that kid from the walking dead?" Jayden asked
I nodded
"Woah, not bad baby sister" Cassy said
"Have you spoken to mom recently?" I asked Cassy
"No, last time I talked to her she said Uncle Phil got into some shit again they have to deal with. When was the last time she spoke with you?"
"Last week, she said she's not coming for thanksgiving. She might come for Christmas though...might" I said
"It's such bullshit. I know she's trying to honor Lola with getting her whole side of the family to America but she would rather miss our, especially your, moments to get them here" she said
"I don't care anymore...kinda already went through all this before I left" I told her
"It's still bull..." she said
After a long des cushion I went up to my room to get ready for bed. When I walked in I was welcomed by the words "welcome to hell" plastered on my wall with marker. I turn to call my dad...when I saw my guitar crushed into pieces. I then looked at my key board...every key was ripped out and thrown to the side. My ukulele's strings were cut. My drum set was torn apart. I screamed in terror.
"Belle what's-oh my god" May said
Cassy, Jayden, Jack and my dad walked in.
"Who did this!?" My dad yelled
"Tony..." Jack said
I was on my knees unable to speak. I grabbed what was left of my guitar and held it.
"I'm going to kill him" Jayden threatened
"How do you know it's Tony?" May asked
I pointed at the welcome to hell writing on my wall.
"He told me he would make my life a living hell" I said...barely with any emotion.
My sister sat next to me and hugged me.
"I'm going...im going...I don't know what I'm going to do" May said and sat on my bed
"I'll deal with him. He's grounded for the rest of his life, he'll have to use all of his Christmas money and any other money he gets to get you new instruments.
"How much will that be?" May asked
"More than a thousand dollars" Cassy said
When Tony came home May and my dad dragged him to his room. After a lot of yelling Tony walked in
"Sorry for what I did" Tony said half heartily
"That was your apology!? That wasn't anything! Look what you've done! That was my hard work! I paid for that drum set! My dad gave me that ukulele for my 7th birthday! That was the last birthday I had with him!" I screamed
"I'm sorry" he said again
"Why are you like this to me!? What have I done to you!?" I asked
"You exist and look at what you have! You have both of your parents that actually love you. My dad left when I was a toddler" he said through his teeth.
"Both parents!? My dad left when I was 7! Again he hasn't been to my birthday since I was 7...that was 8 years ago. Almost 9 years. I don't have both parents. You have my dad...you've had my dad for years" I said and started to push back. I was done.
"Belle" he said trying to calm me down
"You know what else all those dumb all instruments meant to me? My Mom gave me that keyboard for my 8th saying 'I'm sorry sweetie dad couldn't make it' my dad sent me that guitar on my 9th saying 'sorry for not making it again'. I gave up after that! And I'm done with you now. I've been hell and back. Your hell. Isnt. My. First" I said and backed him into a wall. "Now go before I hurt you"
