Off limits chapter 3
"Ready for school?" My dad asked standing at my doorway
"No, I'll be all alone" I said
"No you won't. You have Jack and Tony"
Yeah right. Tony will probably just kick me out. Jack will try to get me into his friends but I wouldn't fit in. I would rather sit alone.
"Yeah, your right" I said and painted a smile on my face. I finished my face and walked downstairs to see the boys eating toast. I grabbed cereal and sat next to Jack. I took out my phone and started reading avenger imagines, specifically Steve Rogers ones.
While walking Chandler of course joined...its like Tony knows I like him or something. Jack and I lagged behind the two.
"How's life been?" I asked Jack
"Good. Sorry about Tony he's..."
"A jerk?"
"I was going to say a bit jealous of you. But yeah he's being a jerk to you" Jack admitted
"Why aren't you jealous?"
"Tony has always gotten the spotlight. Even though I'm younger, he tries to get attention. So I'm used to it"
"So what's with the friend" I said referring to Chandler
"Chandler? We've been friends with him for a long time. When we moved near him they've been spending a lot of time together. I'm just tagging along." He told me
"Oh, so I was curious is there a MESA group, you know an engineering club"
"Uh I think so, you can ask when we get to the office"
I looked over at Chandler. He looked back at us and waved. I waved back.
"So do you like him?" Jack asked
"He's pretty cool, looks familiar though" i told him
"Well he is an actor. Walking dead? Your dad watches it-" he said and I stopped dead in my tracks
"Carl? He's...how did I not see it before?" I whispered
"Oh so you know him" Jack said
"YEAH...I HAD A TOTAL CRUSH ON HIM WHEN I STARTED WATCHING THE SHOW" I wanted to scream
"Yeah...yeah. He's my favorite character" I said trying my best to act cool
We got to the school. I took a deep breath and walked in behind Chandler.
"See you guys later" Chandler said and looked over at me
"Bye" I said and looked at the office
"Hi ms Jobbs, this is my step sister Belle. Belle uh Miller" Jack said for me
"What year?"
"Sophomore" I said for myself
"We have no record of a Belle Miller"
"Try Isabelle Lee Miller" I said
"You don't need to tell us your middle name Hun" ms Jobbs said
"It's my second first name miss"
She typed it in and gave me my schedule
"Didn't know your full name was Isabelle Lee" Jack said walking me to my first class that we had together. Since he was a sophomore too we had English together. Then I had all the advanced classes without him.
"Well I don't like to go by Isabelle because everyone has always called me Belle. No one really knows my second first name is Lee because I just tell people it's my middle name." I told him and sat next to him
When class started I didn't expect the teacher, Mr Jarvis, to call me up and introduce myself to the class.
"Jack I really can't" I said
"You got this" he whispered
I looked at the class, all their eyes turned to me. I stood up.
"I-I'm Belle. I came from Oregon"
"Belle, speak more" mr Jarvis said
"There's really nothing else." I said, I'm literally no one. Just a face you will forget, a name you won't remember, a voice that won't get heard.
"She's my step sister sir. If that helps anything" Jack said as I sat down
We went on talking about a book I've already read "Z for Zachariah". 2 times actually. After class Jack looked at my schedule
"Next class you have a friend in there" Jack said with a smirk
"What does that mean Jack?"
"Just come on, I'll show you to the classroom" he said and lead the way
There I did have a friend. Probably not one that Jack knew of.
"Bellie?" I heard a voice from behind me when I entered the class
"Dan? Holy shit" I said and hugged him
"I haven't seen you since first grade. You haven't changed a bit. Well you have changed but-" he said
"You should just shush. Is that seat next to you open?" I asked
"No, but I can't believe your here"
"I just moved in with my dad. I haven't seen you since the first grade. I didn't know this is where you moved"
"Yeah, hey do you have lunch next? You can sit by me" he suggested
"I really don't but I'll talk to you later" I said and went to talk to the teacher who led me to my seat.
Then Chandler walked in...and you wouldn't guess who he sat next to.
"Hey Belle, didn't know you had this class" Chandler said putting his backpack next to me
DOES THE WORLD HATE ME!? I swear the world hates me.
"Hey Chandler, didn't know you had accelerated Chem"
I looked at his blue eyes, why the fuck does the world hate me? What have I done?
During class we had to play with chemicals. Well it's more like a step by step instruction on chemical reactions but yeah...playing with chemicals is a better word for it. And out of everyone I was partnered with Chandler.
"You do not put that blue into to the mixture Chandler. I swear if you even try I will rip your head off" I said, I was getting closer to him. I had to stop.
"Dang, I was just saying what would happen if I just add a tiny bit more"
"And I'm just saying if you ruin my grade I will rip your head off" I smirked and held up the instructions "it says 3 drops. Not the whole freaking thing."
He laughed and put the chemicals down. For once this entire ordeal I was having fun.
