My classes went by fast, and for the
first time I was thankful. I was
anxious to see Cameron and find
out what he wanted to talk about,
hoping it wasn't anything bad. As
soon as the Professor let out class I
was the first out of my desk.
Literally, I flew to the door, I stood
there trying not to block people's
exit, waiting solemnly for
Cameron. Luckily, I didn't have to
wait long because pretty soon I saw
him walking towards me, boy was
he handsome. His jaw was slacked
but defined. He had the prettiest
grey eyes. He wasn't too "high
yellow", just how I liked it. I never
believed anybody was perfect, but
he was perfect in everyway. I was
proud to walk around holding his
arm, he had values, he stood out.
I smiled as Cameron immediately
grabbed my books and kissed my
cheek asking "You ready to go?" I
nodded, responding "Yes, how was
class for you?" I held his hand,
towards the student parking, as
that's where he had chosen to park
the car. He held me close, saying
"Class was alright, but let's not talk
about me, how were your classes?"
I shrugged quietly saying "I
couldn't focus" My cheeks turned
rosy red as I looked up at him, He
just responded by chuckling
slightly and opening my door for
me.
Carmon drove us to a diner, it was
a little empty but he assured me
the place was good. We got a booth,
the male waiter came over and
kept trying to catch my eye, but I
made sure he knew I was satisfied
with my man. While waiting for
our food, we talked. This was the
talk I waited for all day long. I
shifted in my seat a few times, to
make sure I was ready for
whatever he had to say to me, be it
good or bad. Cameron started it off
by saying "I think things are going
good with us." Awwww. That's
what cute and all, but where was
this going? I was so confused.
Cameron carried on "I love how
good you are with my daughter,
your so loving and motherly. I love
how you show me how you're
feeling about me, how straight up
and real you are, no bullshit
attached. I love everything about
you. I guess the point I'm trying to
make is, baby girl, I love you. I
would really like you to be my
girl." I looked around for a moment
inhaling all he had just said; I
wanted to be there without being
there... Does that make sense?
Cameron cut off my mini day
dream by asking me ""What is it
that you want in a man? What do
you look for in a relationship?" I
squirmed some more in my seat,
before sitting up straightening,
looking him in the eye and
responded by saying "I want
something real. Someone real.
Someone who is going to love me at
my best, and even more at my
worst. Someone who understands
that while words are sweet, action
is even better. I want a guy with
goals and ambitions, who will be
my King and I'll be his Queen. I want
a relationship that not only goes
through shit but also gets through
shit." before I could continue my
rant, he kissed me saying "I could
be all of that, we could have that
relationship and more." I kissed
him back, while pausing every few
seconds to say "Then yes. I. would.
Love. To. Be. Your. Girlfriend."
We spent the rest of the day talking
about life and where we wanted to
get in life, I knew this was the new
beginning my mom had hoped for
me to get when I moved to the city.
I couldn't wait to get home and tell
her all about it. I just hoped in
time, my Father could become
happy for me aswell.
