Lily: well....honestly...I just don't think you're my type tbh....
Tom: oh
Lily: I'm just looking for a, y'know, a manly man, macho, strong, able to pay for the ENITRE meal kind of thing....
Tom: you said you were okay paying halves....
Lily: Of course I said that! That's where you're supposed to jump in and say you'll pay for the rest of the bill
Tom: and I'm not macho enough?
Lily: Well, you talked about being a stay at home dad and about other not-my-type stuff
Tom: Like what Lily? What?
Lily: I dunno, I just feel like you're really emotional and too feminine, I mean it'd be alright if you were guy to be all soppy and stuff but you're not....are you?
Tom: no no no I'm not gay not that there's anything wrong with that!
Lily: yeah well, I have an ideal in my mind and you're not it....sorry
Tom: ergh Lily seriously?
Tom sighs and drops his phone onto the bed. After grafting for many weeks, egged by Jack and Connor he finally manages to land a date with his dream Lily but she evidently does not want him. He's too soppy, too feminine, too nice, too-this, too-that. He was always too-this and too-that with every girl he seems to like. He wonders whether he should take Connor and Jack's approach and be a douchebag but he knows that's not him.
