World of Sadness

We don't realize how lucky we are. Yes sure, we are alive and breathing. But is that all? Is that all we need? We depend too much on everything. We exaggerate the simplest of things. When we should close our eyes and see. See beyond the possible and awake the spirit that rests inside of us. It's been there all along. It's been there through thick and thin. Through our darkest days. And in our hours of need. The feeling, had stayed...but the question is, have you?

World of Sadness

If we were lost in a world of sadness,

And nothing ever grew,

Would we survive,

When the old is once new?

If tears can fill an ocean,

And I bet it can,

Would it happen with the help of the world,

And the sadness of man?

If we changed our ways

To habits, the rituals of rumors,

Perfecting our non-perfect selves,

Ending to distress and no less humors.

If the world was made of the lonely,

And life on earth has not lived,

No stars and space to gaze upon,

No hope or happy gifts.

If we were lost in a world of sadness,

And chased the glee away,

We should blame it on ourselves,

For we do it every day.
