He looked at me
Like we knew each other
For a long long time
Looking Expectant yet adorable.

And here my heart
Filled With memories of past
The vivid image of death
Witnessed at such a tender age.

That memory, since then,
Held me back to get near, to caress
Love was always there, I felt it
Yet, could never show what I held in.

As I came to reality,
He was standing right infront of me
Looking right into my eyes
It has been indeed long time.

They say time changes mentality
Time heals wounds,
Mine feeling still fresh
And here I was, in situation similar
But with a will
To fightback the morbid memory.

As I sat down,
My heart trembled
I opened my bag,
Heart racing,
Memories of that vivid death,
Took out the only food I had, a biscuit packet.

He started wagging his tail,
I opened it, wagging took speed,
I put it down, the opened packet
Still feeling the insecurities, after my action,
Yet a smile and happiness resides over my face,
While he eats, I finally caressed him,
I made a friend today,
As he followed me back home.
