(Time skip brought to you by the plot and also this is unedited because I'm to lazy.)

It's been some time since Eliza and Maria been together, Peggy and Stephen have gotten close.
Everything was going great, but all good times came to an end.
John used to smile so much, his smile could light a whole room, but- rain comes every once and awhile.

It all started when Hamilton, John, Jefferson, James, Maria, Lafayette, Hercules and the Schuyler's went to a party.
Someone brought alcohol, and John, James and Eliza being the designated drivers, couldn't have even a tot.

John was laughing with Eliza about how Peggy was dancing with Lafayette, singing some song from 'The little Mermaid.'
"And she looked so silly!" John caught something from the corner of his eye. "Hey, I'm going to check on Alex." Eliza smiled. "Kay."
John was about to walk into the room, when his phone buzzed.

You_Mad(ison)_Bro?: I think you have to see this.

A photo followed of Alexander and Maria kissing.

Turtle_Boi: they could be playing spin the bottle

You_Mad(ison)_Bro?: I was there and I didn't see a bottle spinning or anything

John froze when he heard noises. Alexander and Maria were friends, but Alexander wouldn't do that...would he?
The noises, moans- were getting louder.
John already knew what was happening.

John showed the photo to Eliza, who began to cry.
James showed up, and gave them each a hug, "We can watch a movie...I'm sure someone will call a uber."
John shook his head. He was putting on a straight face for Eliza. But in his eyes it was clear he was in pain.
"It's f-fine." James nodded. .

Eliza told Angelica, and Angelica told Lafayette. Soon enough word got around. "I'll beat 'em up for you!" Hercules said, though he slurred a bit. John shook his head. "No, I want to handle this myself." A single tear slid down his face.
"I really thought he loved me."

---

After they got back, Alexander ran to the bathroom, most likely to get hangover.
John finally allowed himself to cry.

When Alexander returned, his face paled.
"John? What's wrong?"
John looked up, and his eyes...they were dull, emotionless. Shattered like a broken window. Alexander froze. "Jo-" "S-save it." Lafayette came, and punched him. Hercules was containing his posture in not murdering Alexander right then and there; but his fists were curling and uncurling.
"Guy's l-" "Enfoiré! Comment pouvez-vous tricher sur John? Il vous aimait! Et qu'est-ce que tu fais? Putain de merde Maria! Je pourrais gifler votre visage en ce moment! Va te faire foutre!" Alexander was taken aback. "No y-" "He said get out!"
At first, John thought it was Hercules. But by everyone's shocked looks, and John's sore throat. It was clear he was the one who shouted. Fuck, even Hercules looked scared.
John stood up to leave, "Fine! I never wanted to be with you anyway!" John felt his heart snap. He was right all along...
Alexander covered his mouth, "John I-" "Just..leave."
John shut himself in the bathroom, where he could cry his soul out. He heard Lafayette and Hercules screaming and yelling at Alexander.

---

John laid in his bed, twirling Alexander's hair as the man worked. "John?" John stopped his humming. "Yeah?" "I love you," "I love you too."

---

John sat, sobbing in the bathroom.

---
"Your adorable," Alexander said, laughing at John's baby photos.
"Whatever," Alex rolled his eyes. "Remember the yearbook?" "Oh my god." John joined in his laughter.

---
John didn't know how long he sat there, crying on the floor. But, he froze as another memory came to his head.

---
John was texting Hercules as he walked down the streets, he grumbled as he blinked away the snow blowing in his face. Suddenly, he collided with someone. John picked up his phone, before apologizing more than he should. "I'm so-"
"It's fine," The man said, standing up. John finally got a good look at his face, dark eyes, a kind smile.
"I'm Alexander," "J-John."  They shook hands. The talked a bit before exchanging numbers.
Man, that guy had John helpless.

---

John let out a murmur, "I really thought..you.."
"I really did think you loved me."

(A/N Last chapter I said, "Oh blah blah, after next chapter, angst. Blah blah." Nope. I'm to impatient. Have a wonderful day!)
