When I walked inside Rick's house, there in the middle of the kitchen was a scene out of a cheesy romantic movie. It was a table with a white cloth on top, candles placed in the middle with plates of food and two glasses of wine. I chuckled, I felt Rick's hand glide across the small of my back.

"I know it's a bit cheesy but I wanted to do something nice... For us." He says. I turn back to face him, he smiled at me. I smiled and pecked his lips.

"It is cheesy, but I love it." I say. We sit down, I discover that he made my favorite dish.

"Rick." I awed, he smiles now sitting down, knowing he did well.

"It's still your favorite, right?" He asks

"Yes."

We start to eat. It was good. Once I was getting a bit full I took a break to soak in everything. The lighting of the room was dark, it gave a nice ambiance. The candle light was flickering and it gave Rick a charming look. I watched him eat, I couldn't help but smile. He looks up from eating when he noticed I wasn't moving all that much. He slurped his noodles up in a dorky fashion, I laugh.

"What's wrong?" He asked, worried I didn't like it.

"Nothing, I just love you so much." I say. His eyes relax, he smiles.

"I love you too."

We talked for an hour or so, taking in the fact that we were together and everything was okay in this moment. We weren't covered in blood, we weren't losing the people we love, we were just living. We eventually started to clean up.

"I'm going to see Pete tomorrow." I say while cleaning the dishes. He looked over at me.

"You are?"

"Do you want me to?" I asked. He seemed unsure of me going there and I knew why, but I wanted to know if it bothered him.

"Yeah, I'm the one who suggested it. I'm just glad you're doing it, that's all." He says calmly while packaging the leftover food in Tupperware. I watched him, he put the food in the fridge silently. He then looked up at me, noticing I stopped doing the dishes.

"What?"

I turn the faucet off, I clean off my hands and go up to him. He stood there, not knowing my intentions. I slowly approached him, I took his face to mine, he let his lips touch mine. I kissed him softly.

"What's this for?" He asks, his eyes heavy, looking for an answer in mine. I just shrug,

"It's me saying thank you." And with that, we carried on in the bedroom.

...

"I'm gonna be discussing boarder patrol and lookouts with Deanna today while you're over at Pete and Jessie's." Rick says, he pecks me on the lips.

"Come over when you're done, I'll have dinner ready." He puts on his belt, I was about to go in the closet to find an outfit when Rick pulled me graciously into him, like when the man pulls the woman into a twirl during a dance. He looks into my eyes, I was breathing a little harder than usual since he surprised me with the whole move he just did on me. I didn't dare say a word, even though I have been with Rick for over a year now, he still makes me feel the same way I felt back at the farm. His already soft eyes became even more when he started to close them, I knew he was going in for a kiss so I closed mine. And damn, like I've said before a thousand times, this man could make your knees buckle with only his kiss. And once he separated from me, my eyes were heavy and I felt like I could jump right into bed once more but he just smiled at me,

"You'll never know how much I care about you, Max." He says in a hushed voice, he moves his lips to the side of my face and neck, gently planting kisses upon my skin.

"Rick..." I sighed, this was the worst moment to be doing this, I needed to be at Pete's in less than 10 minutes. Rick kept kissing my skin, moving his way up back to my lips, I was trembling with need,

"Oh, baby..." He groans lightly, "you still get this way with me, even after all this time."

"Oh my god, Rick, I have to go before I rip all your clothes off." I made myself separate from his tempting steaminess. Once I was separated from him physically, I blew my falling hair strands back out of my face while watching him look at me from across the room. He was smiling,

"Why do you always do that to me when we go somewhere public?" I hissed. He started laughing, amused at my frustration.

"It gets you all emotionally pent up, it gets your day started." He explains as his normal self. He walks over to me, "It makes you kick ass," he slaps my butt, I jump, "only I can do that though." He says with a smile then kisses my cheek in a brief way. He left, only calling out, "Kick some ass today, sweet heart," before leaving the house. I couldn't help but laugh, but it quickly subsided when I saw the clock read the time I needed to be at Pete's.

XXXXXXXXXX

Hey, everyone; I deeply apologize for all the time that I have been gone. I have had a bit of writer's block and the hours of homework, school, being in a sport, and having a job has taken a toll on my time as well lately. I want to let you all know that I am still here, just not really that active. The next chapter will be more interesting than this, I'm sorry about the lameness of this one-that may not even be a word, sorry. This chapter is more of a Rax filler, just updating the status of how the couple are doing. But like I said, the next one will be more eventful and I hope to update that asap. I don't even know if any of you are reading up to this point but if you are, I appreciate your dedication in reading this book and I hope each one of you have a good time over the holidays. Thank you and happy holidays.
