I want a family one day,
But what does family mean anyway.
As far as I can tell and feel,
Families I see aren't real.
Look into the world and see,
Perfect families on tv.
Look outside my window to find,
Families breaking all the time.
It doesn't matter what it means,
For a family to me is simple.
Grab a group of wonderful people,
Cherish them for they are your keepers.
If I could ignore marriage,
And live in a house of friends.
That would be the best family,
I'd ever comprehend.
