The next day at school I searched the halls for Trevor. I didnt really know why, I guess I just wanted to see his face again. Zoe followed me around.

"What are you doing?" she asked after 5 minutes of obvious wandering through the school.

"Um... Just looking for a teacher I heard a weird rumor about."

"What did you hear?! Now you gotta tell me." She smiled. Zoe loves gossip.

"Um... I heard he... got a tattoo of his wife. Without clothes on. On his neck," I pathetically lied. However, Zoe is really bad at detecting that kind of stuff.

"OMG! Which teacher?"

"Mr... Nathans," I replied.

She immediately started speed walking through the school, and I followed suit, looking for Trevor. Finally we came across Mr. Nathans.

Zoe stopped mid step and got a good look at his neck. Mr. Nathans noticed.

"Why, hello there... what are you doing?" he awkwardly asked.

Zoe turned really pale and confused. "oh! Sorry, I thought you were someone new. Your hair makes you look so much younger!"

"why thanks, I just got it cut over the weekend!" With that he walked off.

Zoe glared at me. "hey! Why are you lying to me?!"

I finally gave up and signed. "I'm sorry, Zoe. I shouldn't have lied. It's just that... that boy I met yesterday..."

But I couldn't finish my sentence because I felt the same presence behind me again. I suddenly got butterflies in my throat. I knew who it was.

I turned around and saw Trevor walking by me, his arms filled with books. He saw me and greeted me.

"Hey, Clyde." he smiled.

"Hi, Trevor," I said as I smiled and blushed. I stared at the floor until he was gone.

"Now I get it," Zoe said while crossing her arms. I felt a spasm in my neck, similar to the butterflies, but this time I was even more happy.

What if he liked me?

I saw Trevor through the halls every day. I never knew why I didn't notice his cute geeky face before. Now he stands out in the crowd. Even a glimpse of him gives him away because every glimpse is adorable.

I blush every time I see him. He seems to be very focused, and he rarely notices me. But when he does, it makes it that much more special.

When I get the courage to wave to him and his friends, he always leaves them and talks to me. It's mostly about games and videos and the internet. I never knew, but he is even more geeky than me. It makes me admire him even more.

Most conversations we have, he does the talking. I just nod my head and agree. Usually I am listening, because everything he talks about is so cute. But sometimes I will stare into space, aka his face, and daydream of the things we could do together... Wow. That would be hot.

I'm so dorky.

One day my perspective changed.

Over the announcements that morning were student council: "Valentine's Day is coming up! You all know that you need to tell your crush that you like them! Ask them to the Valentine's day dance, we have flowers to buy, chocolate to eat, and songs to dance to. Only $4 a ticket!"

After hearing that, I daydreamed once more. It involved him,

me,

the dance,

food,

fun,

lips (and their contact)

and his house.

I wont give the glorious details of my dream.

Every passing period, if I saw him, I'd replay the daydream over and over.

During lunch I sat with Zoe, secluded from most of the people.

"Why do you keep staring into space?" she asked me. "That's all you've been doing for days."

"Zoe, I'm obsessed! All I can do is think about HIM."

She laughed. "I know. I always knew you loved him."

Did I love him?

"I think I love him," I defeatedly stated. I thought about it again, multiple times.

Yes.

I think I might.
