If you are a good boy

When I was a child, people told me:

"if you are a good boy, your life will be magnificent"

"If you are a good boy, you will be every day happy."

"If you are a good boy, you will have a lot of money."

" If you are a good boy, you will have an affectionate and thoughtful woman."

"If you are a good boy, everybody will like you."

Then, during all these years I listened to them and I was a good boy.

But, today my heart is alone,

Every evening I cry when the sun is hidden,

I haven't got a lot of money, nor a good work

And my friends aren't millions.

If to be a good boy, it is to love a woman, I do not want to be one.

If to be a good boy, it is to have the good work which I do not like, I do not want to be one.

If to be a good boy, it is to feel no feeling except the enjoyment, I do not want to be one.

I do not want to be a good boy, their good boy.

I want to be me.

Different from all and beautiful at the same time.

Now I'm me.
