The Dance of Cloaks

Start from the beginning

You looked at him, diving in his mesmerising blue eyes. He helped you walking back to the infirmary while the Ancient One took care of Wong and dealt with Kaecilius. You felt your cheeks redden when you felt Stephen's hands held your waist. You've never been so close before and it made you at the same time full of glee and anxious. You didn't know if he felt the same. he was so stoical and reserved that it was difficult to understand him. He led you to the bed of the infirmary on which you lied down. Immediately, his face covered of concern changed into the professional doctor grave air you heard about so much. You could see his sharp cheekbones glistened at the aura of the lamp. His eyes were analysing your wound intensely and your breath quickened. His voice resonated in the room:

"It didn't touch any vital organs but I need to stitch your wound. I don't have any painkillers so you will have to be brave. I'll do as quick as I can, I promise. Ready?"

You nodded, blushing. He reached the hem of your shirt and removed it a little to not let him in the way. He took a thread and a needle. He watched for you, then your wound and took a deep breath. You touched his arm, asking him:

" Are you okay?"

He sighed heavily, stressed.

" I've never made any operation since the accident. I don't know if I can do this."

You put your hand on his and intertwined your fingers with his tremulous ones.

" Well, you may need to remove your gloves first. And I trust you."

You emphasise this sentence by pressing his fingers in a comforting gesture. He gazed at you for a while, pondering at your words. You felt yourself blushing harder under his gaze and you bit your lower lip, embarassed. He slowly nodded and removed his dark gloves, revealing the white scars on his whole hands.

" Grip your cloak and take a deep breath."

You "happily" obliged and gripped your cloak. Its ending floated and covered your hands in a recomforting presence. You clenched your teeth and watched the doctor do his work. The first stings were the worst and the pain got low and down. He pierced the wounded skin with patience and your grip increased on the cloak. Your breathing was frantic and drops of sweat were falling on your forehead. You closed your eyes and forced you to stay still. The stitches felt like hours and when the last needle left your skin you sighed of relief while Stephen finished sewing your skin. Then you heard the medical objects fell in the metallic cup and you turned your head to see him, breathing heavily. You grabbed his naked wrist.

" Hey, you did great. Thank you, Stephen."

Your eyes locked again and you saw a new glimmer shines in his blue eyes.

" I think I should thank you, Y/N."

You frowned, confused.

" What?"

He came closer and sat on the bed next to you.

" I flinched only two times when I stitched you. Have you any idea how long I've waited to gain back the infamous stability of my hands? Years, Y./N, years. Even this morning, my hands were trembling, and yet with you, I'm stable. How is it possible?"

You gasped at his words, astonished by what he possibly meant.

" I ... I don't know Stephen."

He smirked and said:

" You should rest, now. Close your eyes and sleep, I'll come back in the morning."

Next, he leant on and pecked your lips softly. You smiled into the kiss and he stepped back, looking at your eyes, fearing a rejection. He was met with a very happy Y/N who grabbed his shoulders and kissed him back with passion. They kissed for a while, andd you felt Stephen 's hand run through your arms which sent you shivers of delight. You gasped when he pinched you and he took the chance to meet your tongue with his. A battle of dominance born and you fought bravely but you had to say, you were defeated under his talented tongue. He stepped back again and looked at you with lust but he bit his lips, holding himself to go further. He pecked one last time your lips and whispered in your ears " Good night, Y/N".

You noticed your cloaks not intertwined anymore when he made a step back and you realized even your cloaks were attracted to each other. A sincere smile was drawn on your face and looked at the magician left the room, his red cloak floating unhappily behind him. Stephen walked out of the room, closing the door behind him and jumped when a voice erupted out of nowhere:

" You took your time Stephen to tell her, didn't you?"

He was so surprised by the presence of the Ancient One standing in the darkness of the house he swore under his breath:

" Oh my f***g God, How did you know? Nevermind, you probably know everything", he said sarcasticly and added, "but what the hell did you do that?"

She raised up her invisible eyebrow.

" Do what?"

He sighed and left without answering her question and thinking of the kiss he shared with Y/N. Then Wong came vrey silently next to the Ancient One and said in her ear " That". The Asian magician expected to made his master flinch but she jsut said: " Seriously, Wong , I heard you long before you try to scare me. " And she left, leaving a confused Wong wondering why he didn't scare the Ancient One, finally concluding that she was the Ancient One and that nothing scare him. " Let's try that on Mordo," he thought. Minutes later, everyone heard a girly scream echoed in the house.
