Melody glanced at me with a harsh smile plastered on her face as we walked through the school halls. I stopped for a second to glance back over at her. Our eyes locked, making this the most awkward moment ever. I smiled back at her and turned to face my locker. I quickly turned the lock, trying not to be obvious as to what I was doing. I pulled on the lock, and it wasn't working. I quickly moved my eyes to above me, where a boy with black rimmed glasses was staring at me. I shifted my glance to the locker number. 189. Shoot. My locker was 374.
"Uhm... what are you doing?" He said, eyes narrowing.
"Oh sorry, I thought this was my locker." I replied, trying to act innocent.
"But isn't your locker in hallway B." He asked. I stood up so our eyes were at the same level. Well, almost at the same level.
"Oh, yeah sorry." I said, trying to get away. Melody caught my eye. I glanced over at her again, only to see her snicker at my mistake.
I found April walking through hallway C. I quickly met up with her to tell her my story.
"Sup dude." She greeted me.
"Wassup." I replied.
"What happened?" She questioned, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Ok, well I saw Melody in hallway A. She was just staring at me with this horrible smirk on her face. And then our eyes locked, so I hesitated and turned around, trying to open my locker-"
April cut me off. "But isn't your locker in hallway B?" She asked, eyebrows raising.
"Yeah yeah, just wait." I started, "So I tried to open it, but this dude with glasses just looked at me. I continued to try to open the locker, then I looked at the locker number. The number was 189."
She laughed, looking me in the eye. "How?"
"I dunno, but then when I turned around to see Melody again, she just snickered at me."
"Told ya so." She said, walking off with pride. Told me what?
