He stood on the edge of the cliff, his hair blowing in the wind, his mesmerizing green eyes scanning the horizon. His beautiful, iridescent wings that were outstretched to their fullest swayed in the gentle breeze as a look of determination crossed his handsome features. He glanced up at the sky for a brief moment, almost as if he had sensed something that might destroy the peaceful atmosphere, but found nothing. His gaze flickered back to the scenery stretched out in front of him but then something flashed across his mind. Her. He had to see her. He had to. He would die if he didn’t. He inhaled deeply, looking up one more time before taking off.
