"What's a lovesick girl doing in a place like this?"

"Pun!" Plue barked in response.

"That totally helps." Lucy scoffed jokingly, rolling her eyes.

"Let's get to business!" Lucy scooped Plue up, sitting him on her shoulder.

"Yahoo!!" Lucy jumped off of the cliff edge, her hair flying up.

After a few seconds of plummeting and laughing, she landed on the soft grass with ease.

"It says here that the city was evacuated after a whole 2 months of non-stop rain. However, there is said to be a blue haired teenage girl seen living there." She read from the article she found.

"Sounds interesting!" Lucy chirped, cheerfully skipping towards the clouded over village.

As soon as she got within arms reach of one of the houses' backyard, rain soaked her and Plue from head to toe.

"I wonder how this place never floods." Lucy muttered as she walked down the main street, observing the abandoned houses on each side of the road.

Then, a figure came into view. Lucy narrowed her eyes, trying to make out what it was through the pouring rain.

As she walked closer, it became visible. It was a girl. She had long wavy blue hair, and was wearing a mostly blue dress. As well as a hat, where under were her bangs, which covered one of her eyes.

She was sitting on a bench at the end of the road, staring blankly ahead with dull blue eyes. Tiny streams of rainwater trickling down her body.

"Excuse me, miss?" Lucy approached the girl.

The girl looked up slowly, her reflection-less eyes suddenly widening.

"Gray-sama?"

"Hmm? What was that?" Lucy asked, unsure of what she said.

She snapped out of her daze, her eyes softening as she came back to reality.

"Who are you?" The girl stood up, swaying.

"A-Are you okay? You don't look very.."

The girl's eyes rolled back. Her body hit the ground with a big splash.

"...good."

Lucy had picked the girl up and carried her into the nearest house. After drying her off, she found that the girl had a terrible fever.

So, being the overly kind blonde she was, she laid her on a bed and tended to her.

Then, she took her hair out of her side ponytail and used a few towels to dry herself and her clothes off. As well as Plue.

She pulled up a chair and sat at her bedside, Plue resting in her lap.

"Now, we wait."

The bluenette's eyes peeled open. They immediately met brown orbs.

"Ohayo~!" The eyes closed cheerfully.

She realized someone was on top of her. And not even inches away from her face.

"KYAA!!" The blue shrieked, shoving the mysterious person off.

"Nice to see your good to go! Let's get gone! We don't got a year to waste, Lockser!" Lucy clapped her hands, Plue barking in agreement.

"Who are you? Why are you in Juvia's house?" She asked, glaring at the blonde.

"My name's Lucy! This is Plue! Great, now that we know each other, we can leave! Now, c'mon! Post haste!!" Lucy grabbed her hand, marching towards the door.

"What?! Juvia is not going anywhere!" She exclaimed, ripping her hand from Lucy's grasp.

"Hm? Why not? Don't you want to see Gray again?" Lucy turned and raised an eyebrow at her.

Her eyes widened. She froze at the name.

"H-How do--"

"You'll never have a chance of seeing him if you stay locked up in this flooding dump." Lucy folded her arms.

"W-What do--"

"You're name is Juvia Lockser, isn't it? Your the girl Gray Fullbuster spends everyday worrying about, aren't you?" Lucy cut her off once again, her eyes and tone sharp.

"G-Gray-sama...is worried about Juvia?" Juvia stuttered, stunned.

"That's right! So, are you going to stay here and let him continue to drown in worry, or are you going to end his suffering and come with me?" Lucy asked fiercely.

Juvia was speechless. She stared at Lucy with big eyes, not sure of what to say.

"It's simple, really. Just make a decision." Lucy shrugged.

"Pun pun!" Plue woofed.

Juvia lowered her chin, thinking.

"...Juvia will gather her belongings." She sighed.

"Yata~! I was scared I was gonna have to kidnap you!" Lucy cheered.

"Kidnap Juvia!?" Juvia exclaimed.

"Don't sweat the details. Let's go!" Lucy grinned.

'Lucy-san is strange. But, Juvia has a good feeling about her. How unusual.'
