"Mommy?" I call out as I come up to her in our living room.
"Yes Jermaine?" she asked, taking the cigarette from her mouth.
"Can I go play with Brianna at the park?"
"You always wanna go play with that child, what you like her or something?"
"Ewwww no" I scrunched up my face, knowing girls had coodies.
"Mhm, go head" she waves me off turning up the tv.
I ran out of the house and then down the street to the park. Going up to the jungle gym, I see Brianna up ahead sitting on the top level and kicking her feet.
Brianna was this girl I knew from around the block and at school.

Brianna was always the playful type too and I did consider her to be one of my best of friends. That is until she moved the next day.
