Chapter 28 - Give my back a push

That night......

"Well, it's time to go.."

(Oh...she's leaving ? she looks exhausted though..)

"Have a nice night , Raika onee-chan, i'll have your dinner waiting for you, as usual.."

"Awwee, Thanks Rei my sweet little sister .."

 "R-Raika , are sure....you're okay ?"

"Huh ? What do you mean ?"

"You won't..... faint anymore..."

"Ahahaha , i'm fine Mina , you worrywart , i more concerned about you though smashing your face on the wall , i mean you left a mark on the wall.." she giggled is if nothings wrong.

"Y-yeah ...i'll fix that ehehehe..."

"Well, bye !"

"O-Oh..." and just like that she rushed and leave for work..

(she looks so exhausted today , is she gonna be alright ?)

I know obsessing over her will do no good she's avoiding me..

(But ....what can i do then ? I already know i've been rejected...well it might not be an official rejection since she said nothing but still....i can't just leave her be...)

After Raika leaves i stare at the TV set , alone in the living room...

"....So there's gonna be a typhoon huh ?"

(Wait, did Raika....remember to bring an umbrella ?)

The more i think about it , the more i worry i know she doesn't like me , but i can't just leave her alone...

I just can't stop thinking about her....

Ever since that day our relationship has been strained..

(But....what should i do ?)

Just as i mull over this...

Kasumi enters the living room...

"Kasumi....what's wrong ?"

.....she just stares at me blankly...

Her eyes turns and stares at me intently...

(Owkey.....?)

".....Listen."

"You and i both know , Raika is not well..." she said

"...Y-yeah..i know.."

"That's all i have to say..."

"Mina aren't you worried about her at all ?"

"...O-Of course i'm worried ! B-but.."

"But ?" she looks at me perplexedly... 

"B-but , i don't know what to do ...."

Kasumi's eyes sharpen...

She takes a deep breath and opens her mouth

".....Mina."

"Yes ?"

"Tell me...."

"What do you think your doing ?!"

"W-what do you mean ?"

"Why are you just standing back and watching her destroy herself !"

"H-Huh ?!"

"I'm talking about Raika !!"

"You noticed .....that she's suffering."

"So why ....why won't you reach out to her ?"

"................."

"Don't just sit there say something !"

"Isn't she important to you ?"

"O-Of course she is ! She's very important to me !" he said almost rising his voice.

"Then why won't you do something !"

Kasumi's face seems to be red in anger and frustration..

"She....she already rejected me , she didn't even give me a chance , but that doesn't stop me from wanting to help her...it's just i'm a bit lost myself and i don't know what to do.."

"I really want to help her , but i'm not sure if she'll accept me..."

The usually cool and composed Kasumi closes in on me urgently...

"I told you to take care of her !"

 I get the sense...that her cheeks are redder than usual...

"If you really care about her, then thinking about what you feel and actually care about her !"

(Well...ouch that's kind of harsh , i wouldn't be at this state if don't care for her...but i get her point..)

"You're the only one who can save her , Mina."

(....Save her ?)

Raika's gloomy face on that day invades my mind..

(I didn't try to help her since she's avoiding me , i just wallow up in my sadness and thinking that she rejected me , when she didn't actually said anything...)

And i know Kasumi's going all out , speaking like this , she's not really used to be this talkative when it comes to me , but i get her point she's like giving my back a push...

I care , about Raika , and thinking about negative things won't do her any good...I care about her...

If she's hurting i want to help her , if she's in some kind of a trouble a want to save her...

".....I'm sorry Kasumi , but thanks for kicking my butt...i needed a push , i really appreciate it.."

"I think i'll go find Raika !"

"If i leave now , i might be able to catch up with her..."

Kasumi still looks angry...

But her looks eventually soften...

".....Okay."

"Hurry...find her.."

For some reason she sounds a bit gloomy...

"O-okay ! Thanks Kasumi !"

"Raika is lucky ....to be cared for by you, Mina...."

"Hmn ? What did you just say ?"

 Kasumi's shakes her red face in frustration...

"Never mind ! , Just go !!"

"Just hurry and find Raika !!"

"Right !"

Kasumi's urgency gives my back another push...

I rush towards Raika's bar...the Velvet Vixens...
