Chapter 24 - The Road Home

A while later....

"W-Well.....i'd better get home.."

I somehow able to stand up on my own ...

".....Are you sure you'll be fine alone ?'

"Y-yes , don't worry i'm fine...."

My vision is still a bit blurry....

(I can't get in her way anymore tonight , i already caused too much trouble..)

Raika sticks up fingers in front of my eyes...

"Mina , how many fingers am i holding up ?"

"21 ?"

"....You're stupid."

( i can't really see it..)

"No, seriously Mina...."

"Twelve ?"

"I only got 10 fingers Mina...."

"I think i'll take you home..."

(S-she'll take me home ?! t-to her house ?! wait why am i getting so excited for we live in the same house...)

"N-no...you don't have to , i'm fine..."

Raika smiles sweetly back...

"Don't worry about it , my shifts almost over anyway..."

"Wait here i need to tell the boss..."

After a while Raika returns with changed clothes..

"Here i am...let's go."

"O-Okay..."

We left the bar , my head still hurt a bit and my  visions a bit blurry...

It's pitch black outside, lit only by the street lights..

"The road is dark, so watch your step.."

"Okay..."

*Bonk!*

As i said that i didn't notice the street light pole and i smack my face into that...;

"Mina ! , Jesus mina , watch were you're going..."

"S-sorry...."

Not sooner than she say that , my foot lost it's footing and i slip and falls...

"A-are you okay ?!"

"Here take my arm..."

"T-thanks...."

I wrap my arm around Raika's neck...

"There you go...."

I wobble down the road looking down...

"I....i'm really sorry about this..."

"Don't worry about it."

"You helped that time  when i was drunk , remember..?"

"Now , were even."

(That's right i almost forgotten about that...)

Just i reminisce, i think of something else..

"Let's go home..."

If i'm leaning on Raika's shoulders then...

*Bump*

(Whoa! wait a minute....)

"Mina , is something wrong ?"

"H-huh ?!"

All signs of intoxication whirl away..
