Chapter 13 - Happenings

(Hey!)

"Zzzz...ZZzz...."

Raika continues to sleep , anchoring her legs and hugging me...

"W-Wait Raika...please wake up...."

"....Mmnn ?"

*Nuzzled*Nuzzle*

Raika moves closer , hugging me tightly rubbing her body close to mine..

I lay there straight and motionless as i could be , while my left harm seems to be in the most comfortable position it could be pressing against her chest...

"Mmnn..."

Raika finally turn in her sleep changing positions again...

*Flop!*

(W-Waahh !! t-this is bad...)

And now she's comfortably laying on top of me snuggling her face into my chest.

"Please wake up , Raika ..."

And then...

Raika still on top of me, rubs her eyes...

Then, her eyes open, staring directly into mine...

(Wew finally she wakes up..)

"G-good morning ?"

".....Mina ?"

"Y-yes...?"

"......Why am i on top of you ? , and why are we lying on your bed.."

".....I have a perfectly good explanation for this...."

"....Oh, i'm dreaming.."

*Flop*

"W-Wait ?!!"

Just when i taught she was waking up , for some reason she continues to sleep on top of me again...

*Mumble*Mumble*

(..S-she's talking in her sleep again...)

"R-Raika , please wake up ?!"

"..Mmnnn..."

Then Raika , rolls around beside me...and curled into a ball facing the other way..

(F-finally....) i sighed in relief..a sat beside her covering her with my blanket

(...i-i thought my heart is going to explode...)

"Hmmmn...."

Then, Raika finally wakes up and fumbles to sitting...

"...Huh ? Was i....sleeping ? , why am i on your bed..?"

"I transferred you there since you looks uncomfortable leaning on my bed.."

"...Oh , thanks ...i guess.."

Raika's sleepy eyes narrow slightly in suspicion ..

"....I usually can't sleep around other people.."

"R-Really ?"

"Hmn...maybe you put me at ease , Mina..."

"Huh ?"

"No, forget i said that..."

"Owkey...."

*Yawn* She stretches  out her hand releasing tension on his joints...

"Have you not been sleeping enough , Raika ?"

"Yeah...work has been too crazy lately..."

"Are those guys from a few days ago has been bothering you again ?"

"Ah' . no..i haven't seen them around , it's thanks to you ..."

Between work , running the budget and taking time to study , she seems to have rather little free time..It's a good thing those guys gave up if not she gonna have a lot to carry on her plate..

"...Doesn't your work give you summer vacation..?"

"Hmmn ?...I can never take much time off at once."

"But...i am about to have a short vacation soon."

"A short vacation ? how short is a short vacation ?" 

"Hmmnn...."

"About a week , i think."

(W-wow that really is short ...)

...But there's still something that i don't get..

".....Um, Raika ?"

"Hmn ?"

"Why do you work so hard ?"

(Hmn...?)

Just then......

Raika's face clouds over..

"......Well , it's because....it's because i..."

"I just need all the money i can make..."

"Huh ?"

Raika's answer startled me..

(It's true , people tend to work hard if they need money...But this doesn't add up..i mean she' Raika ..)

"But surely you don't have to work that hard..."

"I can't go at this half - heatedly...I really do need lot's of money..."

Raika smiles sweetly again as always...

But i also see a strong determination in her eyes..

Whatever her reason might be , i bet it's for the greater good..

(But....i'm sensing she's really hiding something from me...) 

"Um...Raika ?"

"Never mind that " she said in a happy tone..

Raika's bright voice completely cuts me off..

"I sure am thirsty ! Let's take a break."

(Huh ?..Oh.)

"I want an apple juice."

"Oh...o-okay. I'll go get some..."

I can't bring up the subject again...i leave the room to get our drinks ...

(That look on Raika's face , what was that all about ?)

(It seems that she's not telling me anything...)
