I on my couch. Hm. Jacob was usually never late. Must be something important, I thought. I decided to text him.
Taylor: Are you still up for the date? :)
20 minutes passed and I checked my phone. No reply. I decided to go to his house.
As I knocked on the door, a voice yelled at me to come in. I did so and saw Jacobs mom and dad sitting in the kitchen. Both had bloodshot eyes and looked awful.
"I'm sorry is this a bad time?" I asked worriedly.
"Sweetie... we need to tell you something", she stuttered.
"Jacob-" her voice trailed off.
"Jacob got in a car accident." her dad finished.
My heart sank. Tears welled in my eyes. I told them I was sorry and I hoped for the best. I opened the door and ran into my car. I sobbed into my hands. All of a sudden, I heard a tap on my window.
"Can I talk to you?"
