Chapter 11

Life is so confusing now, my only real friend I talk or hangout with is Ryan. I haven't seen Destiny since her and Carlos got together. I text her to see if she wants to hangout and she says sure. I want to tell Ryan I'm going to see her but he's just barley getting over the break up. Destiny has really just went down hill since Carlos. She doesn't really come to school and when she does she's always high, on pills or drunk. It's been a month since I broke it off with Vince and he proved me right, a week after our hallway fight he got with Peyton. Yeah right, he never loved me or he'd be just like Ryan. She has everything jewlery he's ever bought me, I think it's bullshit but I don't care. In my 6th period, there's this guy that sits in front of my table and he's pretty cute. After I broke up with Vince he transferred into my clas. Class hasn't started yet and I'm already annoyed with Vince's presence.

"Hi." He says

"Um Hi?"

"How's Ellie?" He asked that question at the wrong time.

"You have the guts to ask me that question, it's been 2 months. After a month of breaking up, wait no a week that little bitch back there has my shit! Really now? Don't ever ask how my daughter is doing! I will get a restraining order on your ass!"

I'ts a very awkward period, I dont think I can go through this awkwardness everyday. When this period was over I asked my teacher to move up a table. She doesn't ask questions, she just nods. It's time to meet Destiny this should be good. I'm with her and it's really awkward. Time to make conversation.

"Um how are you and Carlos?" I ask out of awkwardness.

"We're good, I love him. But he does bad things to me sometimes." She says kind of quietly.

"Like what?"

She shows me the scares and bruises on her body, I wonder why she's still with him. I know what happened to the baby cause Ryan told me but I want to hear it from her.

"Where's the baby Des?"

She gets super emotional.

"Carlos got mad one night and didn't think before he acted and punched me in the stomach, I lost the baby."

"Oh my god! You have to break up with him, he's hurting you!

She gets up and glares at me.

"You don't know what the fuck your talking about! I love him and he loves me, he just gets angry sometimes. You don't understand the love we have!" She yells.

"What about Ryan!" I yell back.

She starts to laugh, this chick is crazy! She's lost her mind.

"What about him? He means nothing to me anymore. I love Carlos more than anything, nothing you do or say to me can change that. Your dead to me, just like he is." She says and storms off.

What in the world just happened, I'm so shocked. I guess it's time to go home to Ellie. After this long day of yelling and surprises, it's time to get some sleep. After 4 hours of sleep I'm ready to get this day started. Im excited for 6th for my new sitting partner. When I get to school I see Peyton and Vince in a deep convo but I don't care. The day flies so fast, it's like it's meant for me to meet him. Finally 6th period, I can sit next to him. This is the first time in a long time since I've gotten butterflies. He's already in class when I sit next to him, he looks confused. Damn, he's really cute, I'm excited.

"Don't you sit back there?" He asks.

"I used to but I decided to move up to um learn better." That was a total lie. I smile at him.

"Oh okay, anyways I'm Alex."

"Nice to meet you Alex, I'm Natalie."

"That's a pretty name." Alex says.

Before he can say anything else, the teacher interupts and tells us were going to be working with our partners on a lab. Yay, I can get to know him more. She dismisses us, so now I can talk to him but before I can say anything he starts to say something.

"So you have a boyfriend?" He asks.

"Nah, I'm not really looking for one. You have a girlfriend?"

"I'm single, how are you single?" He asks like I have amillion boys lining up for me.

"Recent breakup, child with my ex. Still heartbroken."

"He's pretty stupid to let you go, I would of never left you especially with a baby." He says.

He smiles at me and I know I'm blushing because i have abig smile on my face.

"We should hangout more and get to know eachother." I say with a big smile.

He smiles back. "Most deffinetly."

I hear Vince getting mad, I know this because when he's mad, he talks to himself. The bell rings and everyone cleans up.

"Thanks for talking to me, I had a good time." I say.

I give him a kiss on the cheek then he pulls me in for a real kiss. It feels nice.

"No thank you mamacita." He smiles.

When I walk out of class Vince is waiting for me, oh boy!

"What the hell are doing with that latino boy!!" He says.

"What does it matter to you, I'm not yours anymore. Get over the fact that we are never getting back together." I yell as I walk away.

I walk out to the parking lot and there he is waiting for me.

"So you know your kind of stalking me right now, but its okay I dont mind." I yell laughing.

"You know that, I was thinking that kiss back there was something special. I haven't felt that way in a long time. I know we just met but we should start getting to know eachother because I dont think I can hold back kissing you again." Alex says.

As I'm about to say something, he kisses me and it gives me butterflies.

"What do you say mamacita?"He says smiling through our kiss.

"Yes." I say.

He's something else. I'm happy, but I have Ellie to think about. Time to be a mom and to think.
