If I Can't Have You, No One Can

I woke up with Arizona still wrapped in my arms. This moment was perfect. Her slow and steady breath brought a sense of calm upon me I haven't felt in so long. This was all I needed, her in my arms, peacefully sleeping like nothing could ever harm her. I loved when I woke before Arizona, I could watch her worries and stresses just disappear from her face. Her eyes soon began to flutter open as she greeted me with her most dazzling smile.

"Good morning" she whispered

"Morning" I smiled as I kissed her forehead "You've been holding back on me" I teased, reminiscing on last night

"We haven't slept together in a month Jamie, you know how long I've been waiting for this? There was no way I was holding back on you" she laughed as she gave me a cheeky wink

I gave a small laugh at her attempt at seducing me and placed another soft kiss on her forehead.

"Will you move back in Jamie?" Arizona asked out of nowhere

"What?" I asked surprised as I looked down at her

"I want you to move back in. We can't move on if we're living in separate homes. I want you back here, I especially want you back in this bed beside me" she smiled sweetly

"Of course" I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear

"Great! I've missed you around here" she said as she stared up into my eyes

"I've missed you too" I said softly as I leaned down and placed my lips on hers, rolling her onto her back so that I was hovering over her "How could you have possibly survived without me" I said playfully

"Oh well I almost didn't Dr Quinn" she looked at me wickedly

"Mhhmm" I mumbled into her neck as I began placing kisses down her neck and across her collarbone

*beep beep*

"God damn it!" I growled into her shoulder as I heard my pager go off on the locker beside me

I could hear a slight sigh from Arizona as I removed myself from on top of her.

"I'm sorry babe, I promise when I get home we'll talk ok" I gave her an apologetic look

"Go do your thing" she smiled

"I love you" I said seriously

"I love you too" she said softly

I began putting on my clothes and trying to make myself look presentable. I picked my pager up off the bedside locker and placed into my coat pocket as I walked towards the door.

"Jamie?" I heard Arizona call before I left the room

"Yeah?" I asked, turning around to face her

"Did you just call me babe?" she asked, slightly blushing

"Maybe" I grinned "Is that a problem? Babe." I teased, emphasizing the word

"No" she giggled as her cheeks turned a bright red as she looked down at her hands

"Your such a little schoolgirl Arizona" I laughed "but I love you all the more for it" I said as I ran back and jumped on the bed giving her one last kiss goodbye

** Arizona's P.O.V. **

I watched as Jamie left the room. She always made me feel like I was some teenage girl with a crush on her high school sweetheart. I think that's what always kept pulling me back to her, why I could never really walk away from her. She made me feel like no one else could. Last night, with her, was amazing. Being back beside her, lying in her arms, it was all I ever wanted to feel again. We are going to make this work. I know we are.
