I Love You

Chapter Four - "We're Just Friends!"

"Everything is just perfect about him!", you exclaim to Pippa, as you're talking on the phone with her.

"Everything?", she asks.

"Yes, everything!", you reply.

She laughs a little and asks, "Does he look into your eyes when you talk to him?"

"Yes.", you reply. "Honestly, it felt like it was only us two in the room."

"Must be true love then.", Pippa jokes.

"Shut up! We're just friends at the moment!", you say.

"Okay!", Pippa laughs. "Whatever you say."

You laugh.

"Well, I better get going on my homework.", Pippa says.

"I probably should too.", you reply. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."

Pippa smiles and says, "Okay, and you better give me all the details."

"I will!", you say. "Bye!"

"Bye.", Pippa says back.

You both hang up.

6:15 A.M.

Your alarm goes off.

You wake up, feeling like any normal person who wakes up this early.

You slowly get out of bed, and walk to the kitchen.

You eat breakfast, and go through your morning routine.

"Bye mom! Bye dad!", you yell across the hallway, as you go outside.

"Bye! Have a good day sweetie!", your mom answers.

You walk outside, get into your car, and drive to school.

Once you arrive at school, you check your phone.

You have a message from Pippa.

It says, "Meet me by my locker when you get to school :)"

You turn your phone off, as you walk into the school.

Your phone vibrates.

You look down at it, and see that Lin texted you.

It says, "Talk to you at lunch again today? ;)"

You quickly reply, "Of course!"

You smile to yourself, and head to Pippa's locker.

"He's totally going to ask you to homecoming!", Pippa says.

"No he's not! Like I said yesterday, we're just friends!", you snap back.

Jon and Chris, walk up to you and Pippa.

"What are we talking about?", Chris asks.

"Oh, nothing! Just talking about how someone might get asked to homecoming.", Pippa says, as she smiles and winks at you.

You blush a little.

"Did the conversation go well yesterday?", Jon asks.

"Yes.", you simply reply.

"He wants to talk to her again at lunch today.", Pippa says.

Chris pats you on the back and says, "Looks like you've got yourself a man."

"Stop it guys! We're just friends!", you exclaim.

"Trust me. You won't be 'just friends' for long!", Pippa says.

"Yeah!", Jon agrees. "You need to make a move."

The thought of Lin being your boyfriend rushes through your mind.

You slightly smile at the thought, and ask, "But how?"

"I don't know... The usual things girls do, when they have a crush on a guy.", Jon replies.

"How would you know those things?", you joke.

"Experience.", Jon laughs.

"Fine. I guess I'll try to 'make a move', but I think he's already trying to anyways.", you say.

"Really?", Chris asks. "How?"

"He winked at me yesterday, before going to class.", you answer.

"Okay... It's official! He totally likes you!", Pippa says.

"Maybe...", you finally admit.

The bell rings --- it's time for class.

Jon sighs and says, "Well, good luck!"

Chris adds, "Yes! And you better text us with updates!"

"Will do!", you say, as you smile and walk to the classroom.

Thoughts are still roaming around your head:
"Does he like me? What will happen if we start dating? Do you think he will ask me out? Does he actually seem interested in me?"

The thoughts stop roaming, and you get through your classes until it's time to go to lunch.
