As Tristan opened the front door for me, I couldn't help but continue to smile. That kiss we shared was better than I'd ever imagined. It was the definition of perfect and I don't think I could ever stop kissing him, if I was being honest.

I thanked him and walked inside, watching as he followed suit. I thought back to the car and I was thankful he hadn't asked about why I did what I did to myself. I was also thankful that he hadn't just told me to stop, he asked me to let him help me to slowly stop.

"Please, please don't leave me as well," was what he had said and I wondered what he meant. I suppressed a sigh and knew better than to dwell on it. We obviously both had our secrets and weren't ready to tell anyone.

"You okay?" I jumped back, startled, at just how close he was to me. Despite my previous thoughts, a smile wandered onto my lips as I nodded my head.

"Absolutely amazing," I replied, letting out a sigh of content. He chuckled and leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to my lips. Without my consent, a blush formed on my cheeks as we slowly moved our lips together.

"...don't know, I can't get a hold of him, or her," a voice said from the staircase. We instantly jumped apart, our faces flushing, when Brent came downstairs. He paused upon seeing us, his eyes narrowing into slits.

I was sure my face was red and flustered, along with swollen lips. I dared a peek at Tristan and saw that he looked how I felt. I ducked my head and kicked at the ground, clearing my throat.

"Where the fuck have you two been?" Brent all but snarled and I flinched, shuffling backwards. My lips formed a tight line, my tongue absentmindedly running over my teeth.

"Brent? What's going on?" came Hailey's voice. She, too, stopped with a sharp intake of breath.

"Tristan, you had better explain. Right this second," she demanded. I heard shuffling and instantly knew that other people had come downstairs as well.

As Tristan explained what had happened, starting from the orthodontist and ending at the cemetery - thankfully leaving out the kiss in the car - Skye wandered over besides me.

"You guys kissed, didn't you?" She whispered into my ear. I tensed up but cleared my throat softly, ever so slowly nodding my head.

The next thing I know, she let out an ear piercing squeal. I jumped back, unfortunately into Tristan's chest. His body stiffened but instantly relaxed, placing a subtle hand on the small of my back.

Skye smiled sheepishly but grabbed my hand, pulling me back to her. She mumbled an apology to everyone and Tristan continued his story, his arm instantly dropping back to his side.

"When?" she whispered once again and I was grateful for how soft her voice was. I bit down on my lower lip and glanced at Tristan. He was already staring at me with a slight smile and I couldn't help but return the smile.

"I-In the car just now," I whispered back to her. Her hands slapped over her mouth to conceal yet another squeal. I smiled sheepishly and bit down on my bottom lip to try and hide the wide smile.

"Only took you guys like, forever," came another voice. I jumped and quickly looked at Brent, my eyebrows furrowed.

"W-What?" I asked, tucking my hair behind my ears. He let out a scoff, rolling his eyes. He really hasn't been himself since what happened with him and Skye.

"It's so obvious you guys have kissed," he grumbled and crossed his arms over his chest. I licked over my lips nervously as the air suddenly went thick with awkward tension.
