Felicity pov
When the enemy stopped firing.

We stayed in the trenches for the entire night, taking shifts watching over the trench. This was all as a safety precaution. I looked over the trench, I was just tall enough to look over. We hadn't seen any activity for a few hours. I was in one of the back trenches. I sat down against the dirt wall next to a soldier.

"Your one of the newbies, right?" He asked. This was a different American man, this man was black.

"Yes sir, first tour," I said.

"Where ya from?" He asked.

"York, England, and you?" I asked.

"New York City," He said. "I'm Todrick," He held his hand out. I shook his hand.

"Felicity."

"Nice to meet you," He said.

We chatted softly, till we were told to return to barracks.

Harry ran up to me.

"Hey are you alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine," I said.

"Are you two together?" Todrick asked.

"No, I just met him today. We're just roommates," I said.

"H Wales," Harry said as he held his hand out to Todrick.

"Todrick Davies. That a weird name, what does the H stand for,"

"Harry."

"Ah okay. Well nice to meet you H," Todrick said as he shook his hand.

The rest of the day was pretty relaxed. Harry and I had a patrol through the near by village. Harry and I both had to keep our faces cover. I had to to respect the local culture. Harry had to because he didn't want to be recognized.

I was playing poker with some of the guys.

"I fold," I said as I put my cards down.

When the next round came I had a much better had.

My grandad had taught me how to play poker when I was seven. I was beating him by the time I was eight.

It was me and Rory, an Irishman, he kept smirking.

"I'm sorry Phoenix but I think I've got you," Rory put his cards down, full house.

"I don't think so Rory," I said as I put my cards down. "A royal flush."

I smiled as I took the chips and other things the guys were betting.

I had taken all of the men's chips, "any one else?" I asked.

"I'll play," I heard from the crowd that had gathered to watch us play.

Harry came through the crowd and put a wad of cash down. I smiled And dealt the cards.

I looked at my cards, I had a flush. I kept my poker face. Harry and I went back and forth easing the wager every time. We kept going till we couldn't bet any more.

"Alright I'm calling your bluff," I said.

"I wouldn't do that, Felicity."
