Chapter One-Part Four

   Finally, they've noticed me! I thought I was invincible.

   "Oh, I forgot! This is....uh..what's your name again?" Dr Kang pointed her finger at Yoon Mi. Her face knitted into a scowl as she tried to remember Yoon Mi's name which seemed to have disappeared in a flash.

   Yoon Mi took over. "Oh, annyeong! I am Jung Yoon Mi, and I am an intern. I just got here this morning for the orientation."

   "Oh, a new intern! Welcome aboard! Glad you choose this place!" The nurse said with a smile. "I am Nurse Park-Park In Ha. I'm sure Dr Kang over here had called my name not long ago." She reached out for a handshake.

   "Ne, I've heard that. Nice to meet you, Nurse Park." Yoon Mi shook her hand, her smile showing on her face.

   "The pleasure's mine.."

   "And I am Choi Min Ji. Just call me Nurse Choi and I'll be at your service." Like Nurse Park, she too reached out for a handshake.

   "Oh..uh...okay.." Yoon Mi stuttered as she shook Min Ji's hand as well. She felt quite awkward somehow.

   "She's not used to it." Nurse Park giggled softly.

   "Well, she will be." Min Ji turned to Yoon Mi. "Isn't that correct, Yoon Mi?"

   "It's Dr Jung, you little one!" Dr Kang interjected with a slight giggle before Yoon Mi could say a single word.

   Yoon Mi blushed. She's definitely not used to all of this yet, especially with her title 'doctor'. She realised that she really had a lot to learn in this large hospital.

   "Oh, mian." Min Ji expressed.

   "Ani, it's fine." Yoon Mi convinced. "I'm still unfamiliar to all this. I have a lot to learn. Mianhamnida for the awkwardness."

   Min Ji grinned instead. "Don't be sorry. I was like you when I first got here."

   "How old are you, by the way? You look like you are of the same age as Min Ji." Nurse Park questioned with curiosity.

   "Well, I'm twenty six.."

   "Wow! So young! Min Ji here is twenty eight-two years older than you!" Nurse Park exclaimed.

   "Oh, okay.." Yoon Mi replied. She noticed that Nurse Choi was blushing like a young girl. Her expression was so adorable that even Yoon Mi couldn't hold the urge to chuckle.

   "One more thing-since you followed Dr Kang all the way here, I suppose you are from Dr Kang's department, am I correct?" Nurse Park inquired like a detective.

   "Yes, I am." Suddenly, a sudden surge of pride erupted in Yoon Mi.

   Min Ji and Nurse Park 'ooh'ed, and with a playful grin they turned to Dr Kang, pointing their index fingers at her.

   "What? She came to me and offered to be my student. So, why not?" Dr Kang declared proudly.

   Yoon Mi let out a grin. Indeed, it was her intention to be her sunbae's disciple, but how Dr Kang managed to dig that fact out really amazed her. Dr Kang winced and winked an eye on her.

   "Dr Kang!" A male voice called out. Instantly, Dr Kang turned around, and saw Dr Lee coming towards her. "The patient's awake. She wants to see you."

   Immediately, her face turned gloomy, just like the one Yoon Mi had seen when they were in the elevator moments ago.

   "Oh, right..I almost forgot." Dr Kang began to move towards Dr Lee.
