Shadows:
i hated shadows
the darkness that it brings
the lingering uncertainty
the blindness that it causes
the vulnerability of me
i lost you in the shadows
and now i'm scared to see you come out it again
and break this broken soul
cause i could no longer take
another goodbye
another second chance
another promise
another lie
i hated shadows
the memories that it digs up
the possiblities of us that once had drowned me
floats again
the truth that when there is a shadow
there is you
but never an us
the truth that when there is a shadow
i would convince myself
to get lost in it again
and again
and again
until there is nothing left
but a shadow
and a girl
nowhere to be found
