That voice that belonged to no one other than Dean freaking Winchester.

After gently placing him back on his own feet, making sure that he could stand on his own without falling to the ground, Dean let go of his waist and took a step back.

Castiel's slightly widened eyes met his bright green eyes. "Dean."

"The one and only." Dean confirmed with a smirk, his long fingers running through the wet strands of his light-brown hair.

Castiel's heart flutered at the small action.

Dean looked around himself, before he met his gaze again, and held his hand out for Castiel to hold onto. "I think we should probably get out of the rain."

"Y-Yeah, that sounds good." Castiel stuttered, surprised by his bolt offer. He nibbled on his bottom lip, as he stared at his waiting hand, before sliding his fingers through his.

He stared down at Castiel with a soft gaze and couldn't help but let his lips turn into a bright smile. It wasn't just him holding his hand. It was so much more than that. It had a more profound meaning.

It meant that Castiel trusted him.

Dean pulled Castiel along with him and made his way back towards his precious car. He let go of his hand when they reached the hood, so he could enter through the passenger door.

When they had finally settled in his raven-black car, Dean pushed a few buttons, turning on the heater, after seeing the way Castiel was shivering ever since he had entered the car.

Castiel's gaze roamed around the car with an awed look, taking in every detail that he could. "Dean, your car is amazing."

"Thanks." Dean smiled happily, and patted the dashboard with a proud look. "I put a lot of work into Baby to make her the car she is today."

Castiel couldn't help but let a snicker pass his lips, watching Dean with an amused look. "You really weren't kidding about the name Baby, were you?"

Dean rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want, burger boy."

As Castiel let a few other laughs slip his lips, Dean turned into his seat and started to look for the basket in the backseat that he had prepared not too long ago. After rummaging for a while, he found it and grabbed the basket out of the back of his car.

And, of course, as soon as he had opened it, he pulled out a delicious-looking cherry pie.

"Wanna piece?" Dean inquired, tempting Cas by holding the cherry pie right under his nose.

Castiel nodded his head, making locks of hair fall in front of his view as he eyed the pie with hungry eyes. "Uhuh."

Dean let out a chuckle when he saw the way his eyes lit up at the sight of the pie.

After grabbing two silver forks out of the small basket, he threw it into the back without so much as a glance. He handed Castiel one of the silver forks and placed the pie between their legs, so that he could also reach it.

Soon after that, they began to eat the pie with content looks, not talking to the other one, but just enjoying each other's company.
