I'm sure she will be fine... She was glowing, so probably it is just a fever. I opened my eyes slowly, recognizing the contour of my room. I laid in my bed, still with my clothes on. How did I get here? The last thing I remember is that I fainted outside the school. I looked at the time, it was 7.23 PM, already that late?! I sat up, grabbing my phone to see if it was true but that thing also gave 7.23. I groaned softly, until I noticed I had a message, from Tory! I opened it quickly. HEY NORA, HOW ARE YOU? XTORY. I frowned, she never send messages like that but maybe she wanted to begin a conversation and she didn't know how. UGH NOT GOOD L VERY SICK, GONNA THROW UP MY LUNGS. WHAT ABOUT YOU? XX. I laid the phone away, hoping she would text back soon. A beep made me look at it again, and it was an group invitation, but seeing the characters I guess it was Tory and her group. I accepted, and suddenly I was in a group chat with the four of them. WE NEED TO TALK ON SKYPE, IN FIFTHEEN MINUTES. Tory said immediately and we all agreed. Putting my phone back and standing up, I felt weak and tired. At least my head didn't pound anymore and I didn't cough. I opened the door, looking into the living room. Jake sat on the couch with Bones and Booth, looking worried. Booth heard the door opening and looked at me. Nora, are you feeling okay? I nodded. "A little tired, nothing more." Jake turned to me. It is not nothing. A few days ago you fainted in Charleston, and this morning again. And hearing Booth story the attack was even worse this afternoon. I glared at Booth. Was it now? Bones stood up and felt my forehead. You're still very warm Nora, maybe it is better to go back to bed. I shook my head. "No, I can't stop with the investigation because of a stupid fever." I'm sure it is more than 'a stupid fever', it is more than that. Jake muttered, which I ignored. Tomorrow... Booth said in a voice that didn't accept protests, so I remained silent and nodded. He turned to Jake. Can you bring Bones and me back? Jake nodded and kisses my head. I'll be back soon okay? I nodded, this gave me time to talk to Tory. For some reason, I had the feeling she didn't want Jake with me. Bones hugged me softly and Booth stroke my hair before leaving. A few minutes later I was waiting behind my laptop in the living room. Another few minutes later an invitation to a group chat popped up on my screen. I accepted it, and the screen split into 5 screens. I was on the left top, Ben was under me. Next to me Tory and Shelton, and Hi was down in the middle. The last right under was empty, so I put an internet site there, in case I had to. "Hey!" I looked at screen. Hey. The boys said, but then Ben turned serious. Where did you want to talk about? Tory looked worried. I asked Nora how she was feeling and... The boys now looked at me and I blinked. "What about it? It is probably nothing more than a fever." What's wrong with you then? "Headaches, coughing, dizziness... I fainted two times." They all looked worried now. "But I am sure it is nothing." Nora... Tory began. It is not just you, we all got those kind of symptoms. We think we got it from Coop. I frowned. "But Coop had Parvo, and that is not infectious for humans right?" Normally it is not, but do you remember the sign attached to the cage? I frowned, thinking. "It said... Parvovirus... XPB-19. But I am sure that is just a fork of the virus." Tory's gaze though made me doubt my own words. We did some research after we all got sick. First we thought it was just a cold we all caught because of the rain that day... She remained silent for a while and her next words destroyed my hope. But Parvovirus XPB-19 doesn't exist, only B-19. "So that means..." She nodded. Dr. Karsten made a new fork of the virus which is infectious for humans. "You got to be kidding me..." I muttered softly. So the five of us were infected with a new kind of the Parvovirus. "What were your symptoms?" Attacks... Tory said. Dizziness, headache, fainting. It was like something clicked in my head. I nodded, that sounded the same, Tory continued. My muscles stopped for a second, and a fire went through them and I got strength... I could also smell a rotten leaflet of salad. And that is not everything. Shelton said. For a second I didn't need my glasses to see sharp, and I saw sharper than a human should. Hi joined in. I could hear a fly flying around, and it sounded like an F-16. Ben: I could lift a motorcycle without any trouble. "It is definitely not something normal... I agreed. You know that is an understatement right? Hi grinned at me. I shook my head at him amused. What about Jake? Did he get something as well? Are we infectious for other people? I shook my head. "Nothing happened with Jake yet, I don't think we are. If that happens I will let you know." Tory slammed her fist into her hand. We need to do some research... and we can only do that in Karsten's office. They boys groaned. "Tory please be careful, if you get caught..." We won't Nora, don't worry about us. "I wish I could help you guys but I am in the middle of a case now... I will come back as soon as this is over." Maybe you can help... I looked at her. "How?" Can you give us all the information you can find out dr. Karsten? It would help us a lot. I nodded. "I will mail you everything I can find. Until then we have to be careful around our illness, I don't think it is over yet. More important, we don't know what it does to our bodies." They all nodded. Nora? Who are you talking to? Jake peeked behind the door and the others waved at him. Tory smiled, only I saw it was a little fake. Hey Jake, Nora told us what happened. Take good care of her for us okay? "I can look after myself Tor..." But Jake chuckled. Of course I will. Tory nodded. All right then, then we are off. With a last wave for us they logged off. I looked at Jake innocently, making him chuckle. Being on your laptop is bad for you when you are ill. He closed my laptop and picked me up bridal style, uttering me a soft squeak. He chuckled and carried me to my bed. You need to rest, tomorrow you can go back to work. I giggled and laid back in his arms
