Thrashing, Swirling, Sucking
It pulls me by the ankles down into the deep abyss.
Deeper, Darker, Thicker
I can no longer hold my breath; I surrender.
Weakened, Beaten, Lost
The darkness seeps inside me; I give in.
Moulding, Assimilating, Accepting
It wraps me in a thick cocoon.
Sweet, Soft, Soothing— Lies
When I emerge, you no longer recognize me.
A menacing grin stretches across my face.
I am the darkness.
